Unable to add my friend back and unmute them.

Hello I tried this and it didn’t resolve the issue. I am unsure what to do now as it is still persisting.

After following the steps, I would like you to go through the following steps to clear the Mac address and then perform a quick power cycle on your console:

Settings > Network Settings > Advanced Settings > Alternate Mac Address > Clear it and the console should restart. It would definitely help if you could restart the internet router while the console is restarting.

After going through the troubleshooting steps mentioned, I invite you to perform a quick power cycle by turning off the console and then unplugging all the cables. After 2 to 3 minutes, re-plug them back again, then restart your console.

I also have this issue and so does my son. He has a friend and his friend is unable to unmute him. He didn't place him on mute in the first place. He tries to unmute on his friends list but it just reverts back. I have his friend on my list and he is muted
under my account....through choice . But I too can't unmute him now. Tried on my friends list, reverts back to muted. Tried by going under my profile, going to following, selecting muted, unmuting him there.....still the same.

Anybody got any ideas? Could Fortnite have anything to do with it? Tried going in to party, then going to in game chat, leaving it for 10 secs, going back to party and unmuting. Has worked for some....not for me. Please, help me. my son won't stop moaning
about it. Is it something that just resolves itself or is that it?

Hey, I have this problem as well, My fix which is abit annoying is too spam quickly however slow enough for me to stop when the persons unmuted. Takes abit of time but works! However they mute again when someone joins or leaves the part. So i dont know.

now this just getting **** annoying i have had this for about a week now with multiple of my friends being unable to be unmuted and them having the same issues with other friends. can you please fix this cause this is just ruining most of the fun from
most games
