Unable to add credit card

So im trying to add my friends credit card to His account cause he couldnt and I'm getting the same error he did. it keeps saying the card info isn't correct when I know it is since I'm literally holding it in my hand. Now here's the weird part, on one of his other accounts he added it awhile ago with no issue. Now all of a sudden it can't be added cause "the info isn't correct"? The cards not expired and the account has no restrictions on it, and I carefully looked at the card to make sure I wasn't mistyping anything, so idk why it won't add

To sort out this issue you should contact xbox chat support billing section:

I think you're missing a digit there. I believe the code may be 8C320008. That error code suggests that you may have an expired/dead card on your account. If you remove it you should be able to add the new one.

If you cannot do this and continue to have issues then you should contact phone support for more assistance. If you live in North America then dial 1-800-469-9269

I'm having the same issue, I've contacted support twice but nothing has worked so far. Would really appreciate if someone knew how to solve this

Try removing all cards, deleting your Marketplace System Data from the System Items folder on your Hard Drive, clearing your System Cache, restarting your Xbox, THEN adding your card.

If you can't do it that way, try adding a card from billing.microsoft.com
