    I had a sign in error so I removed the account as recommended. Upon readding the account, it says "(user) is here already. Another user on this device uses this Microsoft account, so you can't add it here."

    There are no accounts whatsoever under the sign in menu or delete account menu. This is the only Microsoft account I have ever had. So i now cannot delete or add the account??

    https://beta.support.xbox.com/xbox-live-status. There is a service alert that might be affecting this.

    Hi Madspikes,

    Thanks for reaching out to us here on the Forums!

    I would recommend performing a
    Soft Factory Reset
    .
    Generally when that happens, it could be the operating system is having some technical difficulties. This should keep the games and apps and just removes the account and returns the settings
    to default settings.



    Side Note:
    It is
    very important to make sure you know the primary email/password to the account before removing
    it from the console.



    To check the email being used with the gamertag, go to
    Settings > Account > sign-in, security & passkey; in middle column at the
    top it will say "show on home" if it is checked it will rotate from gamertag
    and email on homepage. If it is not check marked, it will show in this box.
