Unable to add a child account as a family member

I have a problem with adding the second child xbox live accout as a family member on Xbox 360.

I am the parent. My account exists on both microsoft and xbox. I have a child account, which exists on both microsoft and xbox. The child account is a member of my microsoft family. The child is NOT a member of my xbox family. I cannot figure out how
to add the child account to my xbox family. I don not have an xbox console.

There is no error displayed. I added Xbox Live account of my second child via Download Profile on Xbox. The account was added without a problem. Then I checked Settings > Family, but there was only an account of my first child. The same situation is on
my XBox Live Account (on the internet); under Security, Family...-->Privacy & Online Safety. There is only first child too.

Sorry you are having this problem, and I am sorry to keep asking questions but I'm not really good at the family account side of stuff, can you confirm that child account #2 is downloaded on the console ir a console and the account itself hasn't got your
date of birth to make it an adult account? Also if its not on the a console, downloading a child account should require you to authenticate it with an adult account so I am not sure if trying to download it will trigger you to sign child account #2 into your
adult account which then should automatically make it a part of the family via your primary adult account

Also another potential solution is to sign into xbox.com with child account #2 should immediately prompt you to associate it with a parent account, providing it is not associated with another adult account. And if the account had a date if birth of 18 or
over it would not need parental consent to sign in to xbox.com. If child account #2 was recently set up for your child to use xbox live and has nothing played on it, the better option would be to create a new account for him/her to use with the date of birth
that will prompt it to require parental consent to use xbox live or its services under parental control of an adult account.

Additionally, before considering making a new child account to associate with your Family settings, have a chat with Xbox Customer Support on the link above first, as they may have better solutions to your issue.

 

Hello Dan,

I think that this account is not correctly linked with the parent account. The prompt for the parent account is niether on the console nor on the xbox.com, although the child account has its birth date set deep under 18.

I will try to ask XBox Customer Support for reseting an attribute of the child account so that the prompt for the parental account pops up as it did with child #1 account.

Another option is that I contact customer support to delete the Xbox Live Profile and create a new one.

You can sign up for a new xbox live profile at any point by visiting www.outlook.com

Entering in the details date of birth etc

Then once signed up go to www.xbox.com, sign in, sign up and use parent account for consent then it should link

yesterday I had a chat with xbox support about my problem, and there is the conclusion.: the second child account has for an unknown reason attribute "adult" which cannot be changed.

That could work too, let me know how that works out. I had a thought it could be seeing it as an adult account.
