    Unable to activate the XBox One S Dev Mode.


    Hi,

    I am unable to activate the Dev Mode for the Xbox One S console, due to covid pandemic caused delay in Xbox development, recently trying to resume the development for Xbox and found out the Dev Mode stuck at installing stage. I have tried LB, RB, LT, RT then after entering into Developer mode and restart, the screen went blank.

    I have re-installed using OSU1.ZIP, installed Dev Mode app but stuck at installing stage, then I used LB, RB, LT, RT to enable developer mode but after a restart, the screen went blank and dark screen.

    Please advise.

    Which console are you trying to activate dev mode on? Are you using a console from Xbox One family or the Xbox Series X|S?

    If you're using an Xbox One, you have to perform this through the "Dev Mode Activation" app
    If you're using an Xbox Series X|S, you have to perform this through the "Xbox Dev Mode" app

    Dev Mode Activation.

    There's a subscription and an 'app' you have to purchase/download off of the Microsoft Store and online in order to activate the developer console on an Xbox One. You can no longer just 'access' the dev console without purchasing the subscriptions and app.
