    Unable to access Xbox One server


    Hello there. As of late Friday, April 8th, I have been unable to access Xbox One online capabilities. However, playing on my Xbox 360, or playing backwards compatible titles on my Xbox One, has worked flawlessly as far as online capability is concerned.
    I used matchmaking in Halo: Reach on my Xbox One with no problems, yet the Xbox One Home, and any Xbox One games, cannot connect to Xbox Live. What is the issue? I'm tried resetting everything, from my Xbox to my router to my modem.

    I'm in the east coast. My only guess is that the Xbox One server/servers in my region are out for some reason.

    XBL free trial

    I used the XBL free trial certificate on my new xbox one but am unable to access multiplayer functionality. Received the error message that "account cannot access this server on xbox live".

    forza servers are still down

    I am unable to load Forza 5 without it locking up. I have to go back to the home area to continue. Something else also appears to be going on. I am unable to access the settings for my Xbox one. It hangs after entering A button on settings. I have tested
    with all non essential devices disconnected including connect. I can access and log in to EA servers, Xbox Live Gold. I can log in to and Netflix and watch a movie.

    Sorry I am new to all this gaming world? I was thinking XBox Gold is for playing and downloading games which comes with Gold membership.

    I am not sure why would you need XBox Gold membership when you already have purchased minecraft outright via a disk?

    I hope thats not true. If anyone else can also confirm?

    Yes I am trying this on XBox One S not on Windows. So that means as per you I do need XBox Gold :(

    This is correct, but you should be able to play online without Gold if you're playing on Windows 10 or other platforms. Gold is needed to play multiplayer, servers, or online on the Xbox consoles. Just want to note that if you're not playing on console.
