Unable to access Xbox gametag

Hi All

My son has a gamertag on Xbox and for some unknown reason he can no longer access it.

We can’t remember what email address it was created under I believed it was mine however we have established mine is already associated with his brothers account.

Do you know of anyway we can access or reactive it?

Unfortunately that’s what I thought :-(

I think originally it was my account and at some point we have assigned it to his brothers hence why this account is somewhere in limbo

So annoying, but at least I know

Hi there,

You can follow the steps here to try and recover the information to sign into the account. One of the options is to fill in the account recovery form so you can find out the email address the account is tied to.

If your son's account was created and added to a family member's account, you can log into the parent account to see what the email is and go through the password reset that way.
