Unable to access worlds across XBox and Android devices

I have Minecraft XBox One Edition and updated to BTU version without issues. I also have Minecraft on several Android devices that I play together with my family. I have read that you should be able to start a game on the console then save and close that
world. Then pick up Android device and continue to play that same world. I have not been able to do this.

Minecraft on console works fine. I have been able to sync old world from XBox to BTU Minecraft and play locally on the same console. My family has been able to join the world in progress so we can play together but I cannot access that world from my Android
nor can I access any of the worlds created on my Android from the console unless they are in progress.

I have created new worlds from the console and from my Androids in hopes that maybe new worlds will be accessible from the other devices but they are not. They are still locked to each device.

Please help. I would like to be able to start a world on console when I am home, then continue that world from my Android when I am away.

Xbox Smartglass

Wont connect to my Xbox. then I signed out and now I cant access Smartglass on my Android device. I got a captcha and i keep entering it correctly and it says I entered it wrong. I think its Microsoft blocking out Linux devices because Linux is a threat.
Whats next? I cant access Skydrive on my Android? I cant access Skydrive or Hotmail on my Linux computer? This needs to stop Microsoft is blocking Linux this isnt the first problem i had accessing Microsoft services on Linux devices. My friend's Android wont
connect either.

Microsoft Solitaire Collection

I concur with the post above. I have windows, apple, and android devices in my house. So when I get the same app on each device I expect to have the same functionality across them. Please support adding all the capabilities on other then windows devices.

What you are seeing is intended as worlds created on individual devices are created locally and accessible when the creator is logged in on that device, but they are not sustained online and therefore not accessible if the creator is offline on the device
that created the world.

What you are referring to for the persistent world is a Realm.

Realms allow a world to be maintained online even without the host and owner being signed in or on the device that locally created it.

Realms are not stored locally like standard worlds and thus would be accessible from any invited account or the owner from any device.

that created the world.

What you are referring to for the persistent world is a Realm.

Realms allow a world to be maintained online even without the host and owner being signed in or on the device that locally created it.

Realms are not stored locally like standard worlds and thus would be accessible from any invited account or the owner from any device.

I am not happy at all about that answer. That is not what was stated on the site Minecraft Better Together Update lets you start on console and keep playing on mobile

Specifically "Minecraft Better Together Update lets you start on console and keep playing on mobile"

There is no mention at all about needing a Realms subscription. Even if the Realms subscription wasn't mentioned, wasn't this feature already available through Realms?

The majority of my time spent playing Minecraft is at home with my kids where we are all on LAN. No Realms or Gold subscription needed for that. I would just like the ability to play that same world from my Android device when I am away from the Xbox console
without unnecessary subscriptions.

Apologies for the confusion with that article.

Better together allows everyone on the listed platforms to play together regardless of the platform they are on. But, this does not create persistent worlds that is what Realms are for!

With Better together you can play on your mobile device while a friend on their Nintendo Switch, Windows 10 PC, or Xbox Console plays with you!

This would not create a persistent online world without a Realm though.

If you would like to play on a specific locally created world with your friends and family you still can, but you will need to be on the device that created it.

This is not an in-game issue as both my devices are unable to get past the log in credentials of the XBOX android application.

This is for normal worlds hosted on other devices on my local area network. I've tested hosting worlds on android tablets, android phones, ipads, and a dedicated bedrock server running on my PC. In all cases, the mobile devices are able to connect to other
multiplayer worlds on my LAN, but the XBox shows the "Your friends are not playing Minecraft right now" message despite being able to see the other worlds (as indicated by the count under the friends tab).
