    Unable to access saved Character after installing Genesis 2 on Ark


    I hope that someone can help with this?

    I had a character spawned on The Island on Ark for Xbox.

    The character was fine for several months until a couple of days ago I purchased the Genesis 2 Map Season Gamepass.

    The day after I tried to log back into the Island as usual and it prompted me to create a new character and there was no option to access my original character. I also tried to log into Genesis 2 in case my character was still on that map. I had the same result in that it was requesting me to create a new character?

    Do I need to uninstall all of the Ark on my Xbox and reinstall a fresh installation? Will my original character still be saved?

    Any help would be gratefully recieved.

    PS UPDATE.

    I tried uninstalling Genesis 2 add on and I was then able to login with my character onto The Island. I am now weary about installing Genesis 2 again?

    ARK: Genesis Season Pass

    We recently bought and installed ARK: Genesis Season Pass as well as Ark: Genesis part 1 but we are unable to play it. It says it is installed but it doesn't show up in my "Games". Or in my "All Owned Games." When I go to Manage Que, both games show up
    under Recently Installed. When I click and open Ark: Genesis Part 1 from here (Que/Recently Installed) I get the "START" screen with the big A, but when I press START, I get to a screen that does not let me play the game. Anyone else have this problem? Can
    you suggest a solution?

    Thank you for posting on the Xbox forums. We understand that you purchased Ark: Genesis, but you are unable to access the downloadable content. Ark: Genesis has not been released by the developer. The ambassadors are correct in stating that you will
    need to
    contact the developer     in order to find out when the content will be released. Since you purchased the content, you will have access to it as soon as it is released. We hope this information helps jp51mpson!

    Can't Download Genesis 2 DLC for Ark: Survival Evolved

    Hello LKELLY96,

    Thank you for contacting the Xbox support forums. Ark Genesis Part 2 is part of the Genesis season pass that you can purchase separately with Ark: Survival Evolved. At this time, the Ark: Survival Evolved Explorer's Edition which includes; the Survival Evolved Season Pass, Extinction, Aberration, Scorched Earth, and Survival Evolved Aberrant Skins is the current edition that is available on Game Pass.

    Ark: Genesis Part 2 is part of the second expansion pack which is not currently available with Game Pass. However, Game Pass members may currently receive a discount on the ARK: Genesis Season Pass which would include Ark: Genesis Part 2.

    Issues with Ark Genesis

    Ark Genesis hasn't been released yet. The season pass that you purchased gives you access to the DLC once it has been released. Part 1 should release around 31 Janaury, part 2 will be released winter 2020
