I have scoured the forums for possible solutions but could not find a way to figure it out. Does anyone have any idea?

If an adult (Parental) account is associated with your safety and privacy settings then you are unable to change those settings.

Have you signed-in the correct account, a parent account email that is linked to a child account for example, to the website?

 

I have double-checked that the signed-in account, which is not a child one, is correct. Additionally, I have never linked it to a child account or other accounts.

 

I assume you're the one who created your own account and the birth year that you have input there was for an adult, correct?

 

If that's the case, may I ask for the reason why you're trying to go to: Privacy & Online Safety? Are you trying to remove some restrictions? If so, allow me to inform you that since your profile is an adult then that only means that it's restriction free.

 

For best result, it would be better if you are going to contact our Xbox Accounts & Billing Department so that they can check your account and figure out the main reason of why you're experiencing this issue. They can be reached via

Hi Phoobee. Thanks for your replying. I need to set parental controls on my Xbox one, but I cannot access it neither on the console nor the web.

I contacted the chat team yesterday. They told me that the issue would be handed over to the technical team.

I keep getting the same message and I am trying to gain access to my friends list I am not trying to make any changes at all to my account as I am an adult and I know that my account is restriction free as I am the one who set it up et etc
