unable to access minecraft launcher on windows 11

i have tried to reinstall minecraft java on my new windows 11 laptop and it keeps coming upwth an error when attempting to open the launcher:

Minecraft Launcher is currently not available in your account. Make sure you are signed in to the Microsoft Store and try again. Here's the error code, in case you need it: 0x803F8001

my minecraft account has been migrated to my microsoft account and ive checked that everything is fully up to date. if anyone has any idea on how to fix the issue then i would be grateful for your help.

If you have installed Minecraft Java from the Microsoft Store or Xbox app, try to uninstall it and then download it from the Official Minecraft website here: https://www.minecraft.net/en-us/download

Try to install that executable and check if the same error occurs. If it does, make sure that you are signed in to the correct Microsoft account which you've previously migrated the Mojang Account to. If even after those steps you still get the issue, then you need to contact the Minecraft Support for further help regarding the game not been found in your account.

Thank you for your help, however I am currently unable to access the minecraft launcher (it can't be opened/launched, is still showing up in the windows search bar, cannot be uninstalled).

Every time I try to download it again from other places (microsoft store application, minecraft installer application, minecraft launcher from the xbox store), I get an error and it tells me it is unable to install

Thanks for sharing this information. Are you trying to play the Minecraft for Windows or the Java edition?

Are you using the Windows 10/11 launcher or the Windows 7/8 launcher?

And have you tried to open the Minecraft program from the Start menu instead of using the Launcher?
