    Hi,

    I have been unable to access my xbox live msgs via my app for weeks now. Every time I go into the msg tab, I get "try again, we've had trouble getting your conversations." For weeks... I installed the app on my phone, same thing...

    I have no problems sending/receiving the msgs on the xbox, just not the app. I can see the friends' list, the notifications tab, just not the messages. I've tried terminating and resetting the app countless times, did nothing. The option to uninstall is
    grayed out, for some reason, so I can't delete and re-install...

    I had deleted the account from the xbox and re-downloaded too, didn't solve the issue.

    Any other ideas?

    Have you tried to uninstall/re-install the Xbox App?



    Here are steps below on how to uninstall and reinstall Xbox app:

    1. Click Start, and then type Windows PowerShell on the search box.

    2. Right-click, and then select Run as administrator.

    3. Type the following command to uninstall Xbox app: Get-AppxPackage
    *xboxapp*| Remove-AppxPackage

    4. Hit Enter.



    Launch Windows Store and download Xbox App.

    Hi,

    I tried logging out out of the app, then resetting it, rebooting, coming back in, no difference...

    I used to have the beta on my laptop (I used it to upload custom pics), I guess I can try re-downloading it to see if that fixes anything...

    Since redownloading your account didn't work I would suggest a reset of your console's dashboard to factory settings to see if that fixes it:

    Settings > System > Console Info & Updates > Reset console > "keep games and apps". (requires account redownload)

    Have you tried signing out and back in? That's what I have to do when the app glitches. You may have to check your account info and make sure everything is accurate and up to date too.

    Hi there,

    If you are on your phone, you may want to clear the app Data and Cache. It should fix the issue.

    If you are on Windows 10, apply this guide to the Xbox App.

    Also try the Xbox (Beta) app and see if you can send or read messages there.
