Unable to access Halo 5 online modes.

Hi, not sure if this is the correct place to post this, but I'm struggling to find anywhere with a solution to my problem.

Eveeytime I try and access the halo 5 online modes I am greeted with an error message 'Unable to authorize user profile', this has been happening since about 12pm yesterday.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Error Authorising User

Finally installed and updated Halo 5 but as soon as I get to the main menu screen I get an attention message telling me there is an Error Authorising User with Halo 5 Guardians services. You will be unable to access online modes. Now what the holy hell is
that and why isn't it letting me play the *** game???

 

Halo ODST Code Resend

Hi,

I was unable to download Halo ODST this summer and my code expired. I am just getting back into Halo with Halo 5, and would like to access ODST.

I'll be more than happy to attempt to get this issue resolved with you so that you can enjoy Halo 5!

Since you're receiving this error message, let us attempt some basic troubleshooting and let me know if you were able to join online after these steps:

If you're on the NXOE, I want you to go to settings, accounts, remove accounts, and then remove your account from your XBOX ONE. Afterwards, go to settings, power & startup, restart or turn off, Restart Now.

If you're not, just remove your account by following these steps
support.xbox.com/.../remove-profile-from-console and then go to settings, power & startup, then restart now and add your account to your xbox one again.

Let me know what happens.

 

I've followed these steps and I'm getting the same message. I'm on NXOE.

 

I am having the same problem and I also followed the steps by deleting my account of my xbox and then adding it back on and still after that it doesn't work

Thanks for the feedback. This have been previously reported, however, are you having other online gaming issues, or is it just Halo 5?

Are you by any chance located in the UK? We have seen reports of UK users (specific to Sky Broadband) having same issue between 5.30 AM - 9 PM local time. This due to a filter from Sky causing the online gaming to throw this error. The resolution would to
have the filter bypass for online gaming in given time frame.

Yes, we had exactly the same issue. Its a family setting in SKY broadband which runs until 9pm. You can remove it on your sky account.
