Unable to access any game downloaded on xbox app for pc

Every time I try to load up a game I get this error message, "CLiP license device id does not match the device id in the bound device license". On Windows 11

Unfortunately, this didn't work and this has only started happening when I upgraded to windows 11 from 10

Hi there Mac welcome to the community forum! Christopher here, an Xbox fan just like you and has been on Xbox for years already. I would really love to make your day by helping you out. Well, I suggest you try this:

Open the Settings app it is the gear in the start menu.

Open Accounts

Click Sign-in Options

Scroll down to Privacy

Uncheck "Use my sign-in info to automatically finish setting up my device and reopen my apps after an update and restart."

Restart your PC!

I had to go back to W10 due to the issues! Have you tried it?

I had a similar problem when installing Starfield on my PC. What fixed it for me was reinstalling the Xbox app entirely. You might also want to check your download queue because sometimes there's something downloading in the background that out-prioritizes what you want to download.

Okay. You mentioned that you want to want to purchase games in the console before.

Anyways for PC, can you instead download Xbox App, either from Microsoft Store or from this link: https://www.xbox.com/apps/xbox-app-for-pc

You can link you Xbox account with you PC using the Xbox App. You can then download and access games from there.
