Unable to access account settings

your account is a Child account. to change the privacy settings you will need an Adult account in the same Microsoft Family Group to change them.

I'm sorry to hear you're having issues with your account. Luckily, this is normally a pretty simple fix.

The best solution to this is to use the
Contact Us page to set up a support call so you can speak with a billing specialist. They'll be able to look at your account and determine what needs to be done to remove the suspension.

That is very frustrating. Not a very explicit error path.

When I tried to form a Microsoft family a few years ago, that functionality wasn't available in Canada, so I didn't try it.

Thanks though, making a family and then digging around in the settings got it.

This solved it, thanks. Incredibly weird that it just redirects you to a page rather than showing you your settings and not allowing you to fix them. I'm sure this causes a lot of confusion.

I am not aware of any issues with this, you can try the xbox app on your mobile device! Its always worth a shot. Hope this helps!
