Unable to accept or connect to any games or parties.

The past few days i have been unable to connect to any games or parties. I am unable to start parties or send invites. I don't have the option to send or join any games or parties. When i select party and the party app snaps onto the screen, it sits on the
"start a party to chat online" page and the option of "start a party" has a circle revolving as if it's loading. My friends will send me game invites and party invites and i accept them but it won't bring me to the game or party. I have tried almost everything
and am unsure how to resolve this issue. My NAT is open, i have done all the troubleshoot solutions on the support page. I've checked my connections, everything is fine, I have restarted my xbox multiple times and i have reset my router. Like i said, this
has been going on for the past few days and prior to it, my xbox and xbox live had been working great with no problems. If anyone could give me a hand and help me figure out what is wrong, that would be much appreciated. Thank you.

Hey all.

I am able to connect to xbox live - after performing the connection test, everything comes up fine.

The NAT is set to OPEN, I've tried playing 3 games - Battlefield 3, Black Ops and Assassin's Creed: Revelations. Battlefield 3 is the only that connected instantly, Black Ops took a long time and Assassin's Creed didn't connect at all.

I am unable to join any of my friends parties or join their sessions in progress, but yet I am connected to live.

To see whether it was something wrong with my Xbox/connection and not just the account I've registered a new account with the free Gold trial - it had the same problems.

I have wired ethernet connection for my xbox and it's stable - I am connected to live at all times and don't just randomly disconnect.

Solutions I've tried;

Clearing Cache

Uninstalling previous update

Resetting network settings to factory

Deleting profile and recovering it

The power recycling or something, whether the router and xbox are switched off for 30+ secs.

Basically, practically everything, no luck whatsoever!

Contacted my ISP and they've had no clue what was wrong or what xbox live party was to begin with!

To conclude: my account seems to have mainly silver membership access, but I have golden membership until July 2012!

Xbox support contacted me and fixed the problem. They had me give my console a full restart, clear my persistent storage and clear my alternate MAC.
