    Unable to accept new terms for my daughters account?


    Last week my daughter had been playing Minecraft win 10 beta, for quite some time. How ever on Thursday last week when my daughter signed in to the PC to play Minecraft win 10 beta the Xbox app intervened and said she needed to sign in. It then threw up
    an error saying she needed to go to the website to fix, so off we go to the website and sign her in.. Then we are prompted to accept new terms, no problem check box click ok.. next screen is parent approval required, no problem she is in "my family" etc. so
    click ok then get prompted for my login which I put in and click ok and here's the problem I'm straight back to the need to accept new terms screen. Literally going around in circles.

    I spent nearly 4 hours in total on live chat with 2 different reps and neither had any idea what the problem was, last one said he'll send all the details off to offline support who will get back to me with 48 hrs... that was Friday last week and still not
    heard anything..

    Weird thing is my other daughter had the same problem a couple of days before but she wasn't in "my family", invited her to join then tried again and it worked for her.

    I'm on the verge of setting her up a new account and telling her she'll just have to start again in Minecraft which she wont be pleased about and to be honest I don't blame her.

    Has anyone else had this problem?

    Hello,

    As much as we'd like to, we are unable to help with issues of password resets/blocked e-mails/changing parental e-mail's. You will need to try to reset
    the password
    , if that does not work, please try to fill out the account recovery form here, or if the account
    is blocked please have the parent fill this form out
    .

    If you don't have access to either of these options, you will need to contact the Microsoft Account team here.

    As previously stated, we have absolutely no control over resetting passwords/unblocking e-mails/changing parental e-mail's.

    There is no telephone number for this sort of issue, the only people who you can get into touch with is the Microsoft Account team which you've received the information of in the post. You will need to make a post on their forums if you haven't heard anything
    back after filling in the form. There's nothing we can do on the Xbox Support forums in regards to this as this is a Microsoft Account issue.

    unable to accept new terms for my son

    Hi

    I have been trying for a week to accept your new terms for xbox live for my son. The email I set it up with is no longer in use so am unable to access it. I have filled in every form going on your site, giving my new email address but have still heard nothing
    from you. Is their a tel number I can call to resolve this issue as I'm going round in circles. My sons subscripion is running away with no use because of this issue.

    Me too for all three of my kids.

    My child is prompted to accept new TOCs and then the "Parent Needed' page appears. I enter my (parent) sign in details and accept the TOCs, then it takes me back to the "Parent Needed' page in a ground hog like never ending loop.

    Yes I have checked and triple checked that I am the parent and this is my child.

    Please sort it out.

    I'm having same issue.

    My daughter's account requires new T&C's to be accepted. She logins and accepts, it then asks for the parent account to login. I do so and it just takes me back to her account, same page to accept the T&C's.

    At same time I can login into my Xbox live account on different PC and there is nothing for me to accept or deal with. My (adult) account is working fine.

    I get error code 0x3fb on the green Xbox dialog box.

    PC: Windows 10, Xbox App 8.8.15003.00000

    Same issue for me.

    I then tried to promote my son's account to an adult account, which works on the Windows Account but unfortunately the changes don't get to the xbox account, so still the same issue here.

    Please Microsoft solve this, I spent hours and hours on that stupid error!

    Try with multiple browser but Nothing.

    Chat with xbox support but can't resolve this, and direct me to windows support...

    It seems there is a workaround if you have a xbox one, but it's not my case !

    Hope they solve this rapidly, my daughter is very angry because she don't want her 3 years success lost...

    hi all I've been stuck like u accepting terms. I've just seemed to manage it all I did different was to scroll through the terms then accept it didn't even redirect me I was signed in to my sons acc worth a try ive been on chat and phone trying to resolve

    and sign in with the child account there, do you have any issues accepting the new ToU?

  10. I have an adult account and this problem still happens to me, saying I need an adult account to verify the terms. But if I use my account to verify again, it just gives me the same error as the rest of you. Microsoft, fix the loop please. I really want to
    play and give feedback on Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition Beta, but I cannot.

    It sounds like you may not be using an adult account if it's asking you to verify with a different adult account.

    If the age of the account was set under 18 when it was created a parent account would have been needed to sign up. If you or the owner of the parent account forgot the e-mail check out this page for recovering your

    Hey guys,

    If you're still unable to accept TOU or logging in to your child's account, it would be best to contact Xbox Phone Support as chat support would either ask you to try a bunch of things, make you wait for a few days to get back to you, or have you call Xbox
    Phone Support. I'd go for calling their hotline numbers to save you the hassle.

    now it want me to accept those terms and log in my parent to approve it and that's dead end for me.

    I would love to contact Xbox support in any way, but it won't let me. When I try to start a chat or reguest a call, there shows up a blank gray space without my name as you can see here

    Has any of you resolved this? I really need my account to be functional for my job, maybe creating a new one would help?

    I was able to get this to work, but I'm not exactly sure how (I did a bunch of steps and it eventually worked)... The problem seems to be that when you log in as the parent and are redirected to the TOU, xbox.com still has the child account logged in, not
    the parent (even though the parent just logged in).

    Try this.

    1) Log in to your child's account on xbox.com

    2) when the accept TOU page comes up, copy that URL to the clip board

    Here's where I'm not sure what option worked for me, so try both of these:

    3) log out of the child's account (or start an in-private browser session)

    4) paste the URL from step 2

    5) log in as parent when prompted

    6) accept TOU, sign out

    Try signing back in as the child (might need to wait a few minutes)

    If that doesn't work... try again and when you get to the page for pasting the URL, after you paste it remove all the text after the ? before navigating to the page, e.g.

    live.xbox.com/.../NewTermsOfUse

    Login in as parent and accept.

    One of those two got it working for me, but not sure which, I just kept trying.
