Unable the change privacy settings on Xbox.com

I would like to make a realm so my friends and I can play together. When I found the setting to change on Xbox.com it said "an unexpected error occurred" it seems to me that I'm not the first to have this issue and nobody seems to have an answer. I want
to make a realm but not have to lose all my purchases to do it by making a new account. Can someone please help?

Same problem. I just paid to get age of empires 2 definitive edition and the game works but will not let me play multiplayer and my searches suggest I need to change privacy settings but I am unable to change privacy settings because it does not let me
log in to xbox.com

Try to change your privacy settings via your Xbox & Xbox.com, if neither work. Try MeanMachines suggested answer and see if that helps.

Im not sure that it would help, but you could always try clearing the cache, just incase, or uninstalling just the account profile and redownloading it.
