I woke up this morn after buying a 59 card and putting it on my xbox and my name was changed and the points does not show and my gamer tag and I can not deal wit this name and I talked to Jann at Microsoft and she said y'all would fix it

How to "un-own" an app

Hello,

I am trying to block the ability to download any apps. I turned on the appropriate setting to achieve this, however it only works for apps that have not been installed before. If an app has been owned previously (but currently is uninstalled), it shows
up as "owned" in the app store and can still be downloaded (even with the setting turned on). Therefore the setting does not work for apps that were previously owned. I would like to make it such that no apps at all can be downloaded - even if they had been
installed in the past.

It seems that there needs to be a way to "un-own" an app, but I could not see any way to do this. Is it possible?

sorry to say your name was changed for violating the rules the only way to change it is to pay to change it or live with it. none of us can do this only phone support can.

More than likely you've accidentally created a new gamertag overtop the existing one. Now, first off, we cannot help with this as you must do this yourself.

Try the steps at the link below to move the gamertag to a different email address to see if that helps free up the other.

contacted xbox support they sent me to microsoft store. microsoft store told me too bad. Great way to treat a customer who spent $500 on you products recently.

You are correct, yet this is still a support thread that is mainly populated by gamers such as yourself. If you would like to speak with official support then you'll need to contact Xbox phone support. However in this particular case, as I mentioned earlier,
you will need to continue dealing with the Microsoft Store.

The reason that I mentioned to contact support for the Microsoft Store is because they are the only ones who can help. People who post here are simply gamers such as yourself and cannot help with this.
