Un-authorised transactions on my Credit Card

While I appreciate you do not work for microsoft I would like someone from microsoft to call me. There are wider issues here ... what are the checks and balances in place to stop people setting up microsoft accounts who are minors. I should not have to pay
for accounts I know nothing about. Hence I respectfully ask that I be supplied with a phone number to speak to microsoft directly about this or can someone from microsoft contact me.

I am truly sorry this has happened to you, but you can't blame Microsoft if someone has set-up an account and gained access to your credit card details to make purchases. Anyone can set up a Microsoft account and this is the same with Amazon or eBay for
example. It is your responsibility to keep your credit card details safe and secure.

I stand by my first post and suggest you speak to your credit card company to see what they can do.

Just so you are aware, people on this forum (including ambassadors) do not work for Microsoft and are volunteers to try and help.

Microsoft already provide ways of preventing this. I'm sorry, but if you haven't set up your child's Xbox account correctly, they can hardly be responsible for it.

I would forget about trying to contact Microsoft and just go straight to your credit card company and explain it to them. They are responsible for these transactions and will be able to pull the funding back.

When purchases are made my a credit card, the credit agreement is between you and the credit card company. Not the supplier. So they are responsible for it.

I did not set up this xbox account I know nothing about the account - so why should I have to pay for charges on an account which I did not sent up? You may say you are not responsible for it - but I am not responsible for an account which I did not set
up nor to pay for it. If you can call me we can establish who set up the account. Thank you Jackie
