Ultra Street Fighter 4 update for SSF4AE not working on Xbox Series S

This game is kind of confusing. I always thought ultra street fighter 4 wasn't backwards compatible. It never showed up in the add ons section for me in the store but now it is. A lot of searches online say you can play it and others say you can't. Have you checked all the free add ons in the store for street fighter 4? Make sure you have the upgrade kit. Also press the menu button on sf4ae then go to manage games and add ons. Check to see if there isn't anything else in the ready to install section.

I have a question about street fighter 4 too. Do I need the base game to play the arcade edition? I always thought it was just an add on but the file size is almost 10 gb. Also in the store it dosen't say for sf4ae "this is an add on, game sold separately" like how it does for ultra.

Surely someone with more knowledge can help you out and also myself lol.

Ultra street fighter 4 is not backwards compatible so the only way you can play the dlc is on an Xbox 360. Hopefully they add it to the list so the full game can be playable on all consoles.

All of these are stored on my 1TB Seagate Storage Expansion Card.

When I installed Ultra SFIV it said it was downloaded and installed but when I went to play it none of the Ultra content was available. After that I uninstalled Ultra SFIV then reinstalled it.

I left it for a few days and when I was playing Hitman 3 a notification popped up at the top for SSFIVAE so I checked it and all the Ultra content was working.

Sorry for the late response, been sick the past few days.

I had already downloaded all the free add ons and the ultra upgrade kit, and today the upgrade worked.

As for your question about Super Arcade Edition, I purchased it as its own game and I don't have SSFIV on its own.

There's a SSFIV ARCADE EDITION in the DLC for Super Street Fighter IV that costs around AU$15 so that should upgrade SSFIV to the arcade edition.

Update: Turned on my Xbox today and now USFIV is working.

Can you help me? Did it just started working out of nowhere? and what free packages do you have installed? I'm trying to make it work too
