Ultra Street Fighter 4 Out Today

Will you be picking this expansion up today or when the full version releases on August 8th? Why or why not? Are you excited for this? Why or why not? Which of the new characters would you like to try 1st?

Anyone still play SFIV?

I don't think the upcoming DLC works with Street Fighter 4, you need Super Street Fighter 4 (or SSF4: Arcade Edition). Best off waiting till Ultra Street Fighter 4 is out, that will contain everything they've released so far for the game.

 

How long am I supposed to wait?

I pre-ordered Street fighter 30th anniversary collection, which is supposed To come with a free digital copy of ultra street fighter 4. It's been a week and I still haven't got ultra street fighter 4. Am I supposed to wait longer?

 

I will be picking it up today; I'm excited because of the new characters and the online training mode (every fighting game should have the latter). I would like to try either Dudley or Rolento 1st; I haven't decided between the 2 - I might flip a coin to
see which is 1st.

 

I'm waiting for the 16th. I was waiting for the full retail release...then GWG announced SSF4:AE as one of this month's games. I still never picked up Vanilla SF4, so any of the new characters, (anyone after SF2:Turbo) I'll be excited to play with, but
Ken, Chun Li & Blanka are some of my faves. Definitely getting the upgrade though.

 

You still got to show me the ropes on these fighters dude. End of the month when the SF game goes free?

 

I'm definitely getting Ultra. My friends and I have hundreds upon hundreds of hours clocked between vanilla SF4, Super SF4, and AE v. 2012. I'm not thrilled with some of the balance changes, but on the whole it will probably
be a much better game and I can't wait to see the top players battle at EVO2K14.

I don't think I'll be able to get it upon release but I will be renewing my Gold subscription for this.

 

@cloud me? lol yea, that'll be rich. The ropes is about all I can show you. Scrub supreme over here.

@MVRK you'll supposedly be able to choose between the different versions of the characters, so if you prefer vanilla's balancing to the new balancing, you can still use it.

Yeah, I know about the Edition Select option but I'm thinking more in terms of the competitive scene. Some in the FGC feel that making Edition Select the standard tournament mode essentially devalues most (if not all) the balance
changes in Ultra. Of course, there are some as well who want Edition Select to be tournament standard so as to ensure that each character used is at his / her strongest (i.e., no more whining about nerfs if you lose).

 

MVRK, there is a NG2 thread on the first page (it may be further back depending on when you read this), any chance of some advice on it?

Unfortunately for me, if this evening trying it out was any indication, I'm WAY out of practice...

I wish they'd bring back stages from older Street Fighter games (the backgrounds in the Street Fighter III series, for example, were really nice).

I haven't played Street Fighter in a few months but it shouldn't take long for me to get accustomed to it again. Certain characters, however, I'll never get used to (e.g., Gen, Blanka).

 

Tater I meant Galactic, but hey, if you play as bad as me then I will take you too > GG is pretty good at these games so I am going to get the floor mopped with my face, you on the other hand, you sound like an even fight so consider it a date when it
hits I suck really bad so if you lose to me, its only because I bashed my buttons faster lol.

 

Dear Microsoft, why USF4 is region locked?

I live in Israel and I wanna play it... But it is locked to a specific regions.. now what??

 

I think you will probably get a replacement game or a different one. Don't quote me on that though ^
