Ultimate Word not saving progress

I've had problems with the newest version of Minesweeper, but not the exact same thing. That game doesn't have problems saving progress, its problem is that it allows play before the progress is loaded, and that takes a long time. I've also had a problem with Ultimate Word Games where it reset or lost my progress.

I'm hardly optimistic that reinstalling will fix anything. The game seems to work fine otherwise.

I did some research on the FAQ for Ultimate Word Games and found this for the possible issue with your syncing.

If you want to earn Xbox achievements or maintain your Daily Challenges progress, you'll need to sign in to Xbox Live with your Microsoft account. Otherwise, you can play as a guest.

If you sign in with your Xbox Live account after playing as a guest, and it’s the first time you’ve signed in using that account while playing Microsoft Ultimate Word Games, any progress that you made on your
guest account will automatically be migrated to your Xbox Live account. This means that you won’t lose any progress, and you’ll also earn achievements for progress made.

If you sign in with your Xbox Live account and you’ve played Microsoft Ultimate Word Games on another device, your progress saved in the cloud will be synced to your device, and all of your progress and achievements
will appear.

I do not own that game so I can not confirm where the files are saved on Win 10 PCs. There a forum just for this game that could lead to that solution.

But still back to novice at beginning of challenges

Does it show your same account logged in as the account that you played before? It should save it to the cloud and therefore anywhere you play, it should sync your account and your progress. Sorry to hear that it's not. I'd make sure you're signed in with
the same account showing for the Ultimate Word Games.

I would first start with Resetting the app. If you go to Settings > Apps > Microsoft Ultimate Word Games and click "Advanced Options" the next page will have an option to "Reset". Now that will reset the APP but not your PROGRESS. If you've played online
with a Microsoft Account, then your progress will be saved, and it should fix the app. Once it resets, then I'd check the Windows 10 Store for updates.
