Ultimate Word Games stopped working

I've been playing Microsoft Ultimate Word Games for a while but today I logged in with my Microsoft account for the first time. Now it gets stuck at loading. How do I fix this? Thanks!

OH GOD! HELP! HELP!

I started the game without signing in and IT HAS FORGOTTEN ALL MY PROGRESS!

I've been playing for YEARS, for Heaven's sake! Heeeeelp! :'(

Hi Josef,

Thanks for the prompt reply. I'm on Windows 10. I've restarted the game a few times, but it just refuses to cooperate while I'm logged in on my Microsoft account. There was no problem before I logged on.

I think I really did it this time.

So, when I pressed "sign in" after the game had loaded, it would start to reload, resulting in the same problem. So, I went to uninstall and reinstall it. But instead of uninstalling, I clicked on "advanced" to see what's there, and I went all what-does-this-button-do on the Reset button, and now... well, good news is, it loads while I'm on my account. Bad news is, all my progress is lost.
