Ultimate subscription and Xbox gold

Hi all,

I read up a bunch about this, but i cant find a complete answer.

Essentially i had ultimate for a couple of months, and then canceled it. I recently bought 12 months of xbox gold, and then decided i wanted ultimate instead.

When subscribing, xbox tells you that any subs will be converted to xbox ultimate. This appears not to have happened, and i have been billed £10.99 with is stating a monthly payment, so my gold sub meant nothing.

My question is, should my gold subscription been converted even the second time round? It seems ive lost my £40 for a year subscription and been charged in full for ultimate. This doesnt seem right, so perhaps, as its my second sub to ultimate my gold subscription
stays?

Please help!
