ultimate sale 2014

When the One came out, I traded in about 150 Xbox 360 games and kept about 7 of them. One of the ones I got rid of that I kinda wish I didn't was Fallout New Vegas, as I had never finished up all of the DLC. I still don't know if I'll go back and play
it, but for $4.94 it's worth picking up just to have it.

 

I can't stop buying games. I picked up a few more games today. I bought Bastion, Kingdoms of Amalur, and Sensible World of Soccer. That makes 8 games I've bought so far.

 

Thinking about Kingdom of Amular. If Bing will send me my *expletive deleted* code in time. If not, still leaning to Dishonored.

 

I've only picked up Silent Hill HD. Most of the other games Im interested in I already own. Still some great deals though.

 

Why would you pick up silent Hill HD? Especially the 360 version, though that isn't saying much.

 

I loved Silent Hill 2. Its the only one I ever played honestly. Up until your post I didn't know how bad the remake seems to be. I never really looked into the reception of the HD release. Oh well it was less than 10 bucks.

 

They really messed it up bad. I had to stop SH3 HD because i was actually getting motion sickness. The flim grains don't work half the time, so much framrate and sound issues, oh and the redone textures are terrible. And Fog wall. Thanks for *** up the fog.

At least the new voicework is good imo. I'm just glad I still have my originals.

 

Yeah, I no longer have my copy of SH2. I saw it was on sale and felt nostalgic. I'll give it a go, but will be braced for the worst. Thanks for the warning.

 

Don't be surprised if it freezes from time to time. And I would advise to take off achievement notifications when you're playing. it will lag your game up so bad you would think it had froze.

 

I actually got all the achievements in the Silent Hill HD collection without even realising it was broken because I'd never played them before, haha.

I only found unlocking the achievements to be annoying because as Pyramid has said they make the game lag, but it actually froze a few times for me as well. Anything else I guess I just chalked it up to being a remake.

 

i'm a little disappointed in this sale, though it's all on my end. other than dishonored and gears of war 3, every game i'm interested in i already bought...some games multiple times. how many more days do we have left, 3? i assume it'll end on monday, give
it a full week, but i haven't heard anything for sure...

 

I kind of agree, it's a good sale don't get me wrong, I've just played pretty much all of them. Ninja Gaiden 2 for $8.50 is a damn good deal though, get on that!

GTAV for $54.97 which I think is kind of insulting, surely you could get the physical much cheaper?

Oh well, let's see what the coming days have for us.

 

I was also looking at the Sales and know nothing about dishonored but it has had my interest for a while now. Is there any games someone could compare it to. I was also looking at Darksider 2 as I did enjoy the first one.

If you had to choose btn DarkSiders2 & Dishonored which game would you true gamers out there choose?

I've been forgetting about this! What do you guys think about Portal 2? I was thinking of getting that to co-op with the missus. Thanks for the input.

 

@BOSS: i don't know a whole lot about the story, but as best as i can describe dishonored, it's like a supernatural hitman game...stealthy guy going around assassinating bad guys in a steampunk-ish world and you can use some kind of magic.

@Defy: great story, great gameplay, great couch co-op, great everything. if you like physics based puzzles and humor, you will not be disappointed.
