UK XBOX1 with German game

I'm in the UK & have a UK Xbox1 and have been given a German version of Far Cry 4. I've put the disc in & nothing happens, the disc doesn't seem to be recognised. I've looked at some of the forums and they are about downloaded games and market place purchases,
where as I have an actual disc copy of game. I read somewhere that the region can be changed but I'd have to wait 3 months to change it back again. Does this mean if i set the region to 'Germany' I'd have to wait 3 months before playing any games brought
in the UK?

Or is there a simple answer to playing German games on a UK xbox 1.

3 pin kettle plug help.

As others have said either just buy an adapter (A shaver one will work, or buy a german extension lead from same german amazon site and pout a UK plug on that), or cut the 2 pin end off the cord and just add a UK plug.

As an ex UK Army member who worked in Germany for many years, there is no issues with using UK plugs to power German electronics. We often did the reverse. Kept all our UK electrics like TVs etc with UK plugs, but used a UK extension lead fitted with a
German plug

 

Some of my Xbox One-games have their Achievements in German language?! Help!!

I am in Norway with a Imported console (from Germany) and some of the games have suddenly changed achievement language to German. It was not like that before. Titanfall and Wolfenstein for example have all the achievements in german. Not the dashboard, not
in the "in game menu", ONLY the achievements are in German. They were in English first, and then it swapped to german. Everything in my console settings is set to English/Uk, I am connected to the UK Marketplace with my credit card and I don't have a German
IP. WTF Microsoft?

 

A simple reboot of the xbox1 appears to be working!

Its now installing a game update

 

Yeah,disc versions of games should be region free on the xbox one.
