UK Xbox Repair Shipping to Germany?

Hello.

I've booked my Xbox One X in to be repaired under warranty, which is something I've done before. Got provided with a shipping label, as before.

Thing is, the last time I did this, the shipping label had my duff console whisked off to Daventry. I live in the UK, so this is pretty normal.

This time, however, my shipping label says it wants to send my console to Frankfurt, Germany. Is this right?

Just want to make sure nothing has went wrong before I send my console off to potentially the wrong place.

Side question to so this .

In the past the repairs have always gone to the UK center, but this time it's going to Germany.

Seems a little waste of money shipping it to Germany then shipping it back.

Any reason for this?

alot of xbox consoles go to germany from the UK, one of the main repair centers for microsoft. my place also deals with them but not on a large scale. so its fine going there.

Since it's going to another country, you will most likely need them. You can request a call back or chat with support at http://support.xbox.com/contact-us If you're not seeing those options, change your category/topic until you do. Billing & Subscriptions and "I don't recognize a charge" usually works for me.

Any unorthorised repair would be considered a 'mod' if it's found out. These repairs are in violation of the Xbox ToS. As for where the repair's are done, it doesn't matter. If your console is in warranty it will be repaired for free, they even cover
the shipping costs. If it is out of warranty, the price you pay also covers the shipping costs. The shipping cost is not dependant on your location. I'm fom the UK and our machines are sent to Germany!
