UK xb1 day 1 owners,your community needs you

Heya guys,right ok after speaking with xb support on monday night,they and MS are very aware there is a big uproar about this price cut and the update pretty much landing for the tfall bundle,they are also fully aware that many of us arnt "oh wow how wonderful",
but many of us feel let down by MS,the facr that we were promised all these wonderful next gen things,and all preordered last year in the summer,queued for ages for launch on the 22nd of nov,put loads of effort into getting a day 1.

Dont get me wrong im enjoying my xb1 as much as the next guy , but come on a 12 week price slash and all the things we expected on launch that wernt there we accepted and have been patiently waiting for are all lined up for this reduced price xb1.

Im sorry but its not really on is it?So after ad isment from xb support,they said,post on the forums,so here I am.PLEASE this is for the greater good of our community,PLEADE post to feedback your genuin views on this,PLEASE call the freephone support and
disclose your feelings about this.

I am mot expecting miricles but as a good gesture from MS I would expect 6 months free xbox live,a free arcade game or 2,just something simple just to show that as day 1 owners who put loads of tine,money and effort into supporting MS and their next gen
console that, they do care about as as im sorry again but it cronically feels like we have had the day 1 tester xb1 and not the amazing one that it will be once the march update is in full swing.

I seriuosly appreciate you reading this and any support you decide to take,nice 1,happy gaming.

While I agree I was a little miffed when I heard about the price drop, I know it is just one of those things. Early adopters no matter what the technology always pay more for stuff to make it cheaper for everyone else down the line.

Firstly, when they say the forums, they were probably trying a cop-out or meant the Feedback forums, where the Xbox team actually read and you're not completely wasting your time.

Secondly, I can't believe you actually rang support about this. Day One buyers also got a free game so there's no difference there and they're just trying to market their product. If you feel ripped off then you'll think before you rush in and buy day one
next time.

I had to pay £46 a month and £50 upfront for my iPhone 5S because I was in the store at 8am on release. My girlfriend just got one and it's costing here £42 with no upfront cost. I'm not bothered though, that's the price you pay for buying day one.

 

Look... If you buy Something on the first few months they stick to the price then a company will drop the price. That's how Business works bud!

 

I'm all for free stuff but I really don't expect to be showered with gifts just because of a £30 price drop. Im a happy owner of a day one XB1 with which I received Fifa 14 for free. £30 to play the console 3 months early, I would do exactly the same again
if I could go back in time.

 

I do not own an xbox 1, but I sincerely think that the early adopters deserve some sort of compensation for a price cut that came within 3 months of launch. Nintendo did it for their customers and that was about a year later. This price cut was obviously
not planned from the beginning and to short change the people that supported you this early because of business decisions not being well though out seems petty. Good luck to you all.

I am in the US.... I am glad you UK guys are getting a better deal... but still should be cheaper... £298 is like our $499 correct? anywho... 4 months is 1/3 of a year... not that short of a time period...I am not sure what you are expecting to get in
return? the Day 1 Adopters are over.... you pay a certain premium to say I had it since DAY ONE...they are now in full retail mode....5 years from now... when rumors of the next nex gen start erupting.... you can always say I had mine since Nov 22, 2013..

We can look at it like everything... Jan 1st you buy a brand new "toy"... By late April, they drop the price by $50.00... it happens...

Hahaha, don't see what that attack was about. FYI, I haven't used the PS forums in well over a year at which point I only ever used the off-topic so I'm not sure where that came from. I also last bought an Xbox game little over a month ago and have more
on pre-order, again, not that it's any of your business.

Believe it or not, I actually paid more than the £430 RRP for my Xbox and I still don't regret it or feel massively ripped off. As I say, I was happy with the free game I got and don't regret my purchase at all.

 

I won't lie it would be nice to get a better gift or something from being a day one adopter, I ordered it in June! And hate fifa but I don't think we should be owed anything, I would be happy with TV support which we don't have yet, maybe some free gold

Seen a photo on reddit... 50 Hz option.... I think that is the issue with TV in the UK and has been fixed in the update
