UK xb1 day 1 owners,your community needs you.

Heya guys ok,look im a massive fan of xb1,the 18 games for my xb1 says it all,now after speaking to xbox support on monday evening,MS are very aware that some of us arnt the type that just sits there and goes horaay how wonderful a price slash after 12wks.

our console we preorderd bk in summer last year with massive promises of next gen this that and the other, for when we actually queued up for hours to get on launch,to find somuch wasnt on the xb1 on released but is now all gonha be there for this updated
tfall bundle at the reduced price and an awesome hugw update,that sorts all the things we expected to get on launch and the content creator ie twitch n xbox broadcast.

Im sorry but it 4eally does feel as if we have been testers leading up to this update,loads upon loads of xb1 have been faulty,I gauretee ther will be no where near as many faulty ones in this bundle.

So the more noise we as day one uk owners make to microsoft about this,the more they will take note,im not expecting miricles but as a good gesture I would expect 6 months of free xbox live,a couple of free arcade games along the lines of that.

So please as the support guy said to me post on the feedback on this forum,call the freephone support number and say your case,im really hoping to build something here as I feel let down to be honest.

Was there a noted price protection at purchase? No. It was bought last year, and now you want a discount? My god..... (shakes head)

I for one are pleased that Microsoft are trying to get as many people on board for titan fall. My day one purchase was money well spent

 

More chance of me falling pregnant than getting 6 months free gold and a few arcade games!

 

So getting to play your Xbox One for three months wasn't compensation enough?

 

That's just the price of being an early adopter which I have no problem with. I still feel I had real value at launch by getting FIFA 14 free!

 

I think with the bonus launch game I got a pretty good deal and a £30 price drop is hardly a surprise.

However I do agree that it feels like we have been beta testing the software. The Dash has been a total mess.

I really don't expect to be getting cashback from microsoft, but I wouldn't say no to a code or two to say "thanks for sticking with us while we sort stuff out"

 

I'm happy with it more the merrier , you knew what you were paying for, are you going to moan after every gets reduced after a few months???

 

I get where you are coming from OP but at the end of the day, you, myself and many others all chose to buy the Xbox One on release knowing fine well that there could be issues or hardware faults etc.

End of the day Microsoft are not t blame for us choosing to adopt the console from the start.

 

I appreciate ya input guys,trust me im not moaning,maybe I came across wrong, its just in over 30 years of gaming I see thses little things going on and its like 'oh its just buisness n money' the more wecaccept these little minor disruptions the more it
way lays for big ones,its always good to have a voice for us gamers and not corporations,anyway woop roll on friday pvz n theif for us woop!

 

there has been problems with peoples machines and yes things need fixing and updating if you owned the xbox 360 you must have known that with anything coming out that's new problems can and will happen, people who get upset about this really should be holding
off for at least 1 or 2 years after the system has been out before purchasing.

 

the price drop was bound to happen as the sony machine is as good but cheaper, its still cheaper and this price drop will not stop others moving across to the ps4.

sadly as we all know tech these days is never tested right, every game comes out with multiple issues for us to find, this is how tech works these days it keeps costs and production times down.

its about time they started using the community as a sounding board rather than product testers, we all knew this console wouldnt work till 6 months after release and to be honest the best games will not be till at least next xmas.

we just have to suck it up till then and hope our consoles dont break.

its that or go back to the 360 which at the end worked just fine

 

yeah to look at the half full side of things,the 360 is pretty much in its prime wouldnt ya say.Well accourding to that xbox support guy on the phone and he was a pretty nice understadable guy,he did say they are paying more attention to the forums now,i
very much hope so.

 

Already got 4 free games so not bothered in the slightest.

While I agree I was a little miffed when I heard about the price drop, I know it is just one of those things. Early adopters no matter what the technology always pay more for stuff to make it cheaper for everyone else down the line.
