    As an early adopter for the XBOX ONE, I am extremely disappointed with the continued issues with TV in the UK through the Xbox One. Unless I am mistaken they are still marketing this as a living room box where you can play games, use apps and watch TV and
    films. Not sure about the rest of you but stutter in the picture every 30-40 second, albeit a split second is annoying. However its not as annoying as the blank screen then filled with an error about XBOX One cannot find the TV signal, when you switch between
    HD and Standard programmes on SKY. You have to wait upwards to a minute for the picture to come back, which effectively renders the TV operation useless. This has been going on for too long, how many others have this issues and why are Microsoft not fixing this.

    TV Tuner One Guide problems

    Have lots of issues with the tuner, I found that by changing from my ota region to digital plus selecting to show all the HD and sd channels improved fixed it (except ITV hd).

    Also having major issues with the USB tuner plugged in and swapping from game to dash to TV (system stalls).

    Very very disappointed in this product. Was supposed to make everything easier not glitchier!

    Watching TV Through Xbox One – Random Freezing?

    I'm having the same issues. Seems to be more prevalent when changing between HD and SD channels on my foxtel IQ2 HD set top box, also when exiting a game straight into TV mode. For a console sold on TV, TV and more TV. This is very disappointing. It's been
    months with no movement on this at all.

    While we're at it, can we do something about allowing DLNA and 3d blu ray support already. This console was supposed to be all we needed for our media consumption.

    Same here. I bought the Xbox One over the PS4 for this feature only and I am bitterly disappointed. I am amazed this doesn't work and that the defect has been around since 2013. I am sending mine back, but I have had games as christmas presents and will
    now lose out exchanging them for PS4 versions.

    Screen goes black or says that cable box isn't connected for 20-30 seconds when changing channel.

    I found a work around to this issue.

    On your sky box, go to settings - sound - you will probably see digital audio set to Dolby D. If you set that to "normal" and save it, it will stop that signal loss issue when switching from HD to non HD channels.

    This is only a work around as you now don't get Dolby Digital sound from your sky box which is not great. I think there is an issue the way xbox handles the switch between Dolby and non- Dolby in non HD channels.

    Xbox one tv won't fit tv screen

    Would be nice if there was a passthrough option. I have my Cable box set up to send SD channels in stretch and HD in Native to the TV. Now with the Xbox One, sicne it is doing a stretch again things still look fine and it adjusts between HD and SD, but
    if I start the TV / Xbox with an HD channel on it shows in stretch until I manually go to an SD channel then back or go into the menu and change the setting.

    Virgin tivo frame rate slower with XB1

    I don't know if it's patchable because there will always be a frame rate difference between UK broadcasts and xbox one.

    They could add a 50Hz mode to xbox one but that would cause games to stutter because all games are designed for 60Htz TVs.

    Personally I don't understand why the TV broadcasters stuck with 50Hz when we went HD. As all tv sets are 60Hz compatible so I see no reason why tv companies can't broadcast HD in 60Hz.

    Xbox One won't play/freezes some Directv channels

    I have the same issue but with foxtel in Australia. It seems to be an issue with changing between HD and SD channels. You would think a console as powerful as the one wouldn't have an issue with changing definitions.

    It also seems to occur when exiting from a game and going straight to tv. I have to power down and back on to fix it. Drives me crazy.
