My sources are the Economics classes I took back in High School.

Forget what I learned in College and University.

Internet Forums are not full of 'thinkers'. They are full of 'wanters'.

This is why they attempt to justify what they 'want' with a snippit from the internet. Usually any snippit will do... as long as it agrees with what they 'want'.

I too 'want' games to be cheaper however i've also always wanted my own penguin, ever since I was a small boy... and wanting has not made it so.

As part of the EU, with all our taxes being included in the up front price of the game English people were enjoying similar prices to those of the powerful economy of the United States, who apply both State and Federal Taxes to the prices you see listed
for sale.

We were part of an economic market that represented nearly 750 Million people.

We have boldly and rashly become a market of closer to 50 Million people.

Yet you believe that Britain is now in a stronger economic position and will be able to dictate the prices it pays for it's essential exports?

If something doesn't make sense that's usually because it's not true.

Publishers, developers, manufacturers and distributers will find better markets outside of Britain and Britain shall pay for the luxury of importing and using these foreign goods.

 

A 'Europe Wide Free Market' doesn't exist. It's a Single Market, accessible by those countries within the EU and European countries who have trade agreements with the EU. Those countries outside the EU and the Single Market are free to trade with whom they
please. They are doing a lot better than the countries that are bound the trade agreements of the EU and the Single Market.

 

Such as economic powerhouses Turkey, Armenia and Georgia.

Is it any surprise that Britain voted "Leave"?

Plus most of the mass production is made outside of the EU anyway and most of the good developers have the HQ's in uk

Just a reminder on the forums Terms of Use. This topic started off with a genuine question relating to the potential impact on pricing to future releases however it has quickly become a place to debate the outcome of the recent referendum in the UK.

As much as we all appreciate a good hearty debate, this Xbox forum is not the place for it. I note that many of you hold a spot on the Ambassador program and should remember the CoC and ToU. I am not singling any one person out here, this simply serves
as a reminder to everyone of the ToU and rules surrounding forum usage.

That's a good question and can considered for a wide range of different things.

No-one knows at the moment. Most likely, there will be very little change. Worst case scenario? Hard copy games will be a few quid more expensive.

 

It is too soon to know either way but considering we have a couple of years before it actually happens I do not think we need to worry just yet.

 

i don't think anything will change on the gaming community.

 

A bad economy means less spending money.

Less spending money means less people buying real games and more people throwing their money at free to play games and fractured games that are sold in bits.

Much like the council housed contentedly blowing their benefit allowance on *** and booze to the detriment of their long term health, these gamers promote poor graphics, mediocre stories and mind numbing grinds as the acceptable gaming norm dumbing down
and killing gaming for the educated.

It's the end of quality. The end of value. The end of sense. The biggest joke being that people think they chose it themselves.

If almost have the country object to something it would make sense to take a better and more detailed look at it but instead, despite it being contrary to almost half the population's wishes, politicians have said "Oh well look, the people have spoken...
we'll need to follow their wishes" demonstrating this was their intention all along.

Nice to see us "taking our country back" only to see the pound nosedive so Foreign Investors could buy up the rest of London at bargain discount prices.
