  2. UK Price Drop

£399.99 should have been the launch price here anyways, so i'm glad it's now a thing. Throw in a free copy of titanfall (sounds silly but could be good!) and you may be on to something

Xbox one now £350 at maplin's

    Hey Timmy

If you can get a Day 1 Edition from Maplins in the UK for £350.00 AND a free copy of either "FIFA '14" or "Forza 5" then good on you...

    But you can't.

You can get a gameless XBox ONE.

Throw in the price of the game and you've lost £30.00.

Ignore Maplin and look at the "Titanfall" for free with the ONE for £399.99.

    Again you've lost £30.00.

If money is so tight that you're feeling betrayed by a £30.00 price cut perhaps you should have saved up some more money before throwing £429.99 at an XBox ONE.

And as for price drops they don't happen all the time, price drops happen for 4 main reasons

1 a product is coming to the end of its shelf life

2 a newer model is replacing it

3 the item has been discontinued

4 sales have slowed right down

with the xb1 its obvious it is 4, sales have slowed right down and to have sales already is a mockery, its alright saying what's the fuss prices drop in time is being ignorant to why it is happening so early on

  6. DCDavies666 why did you pay £550 for your Xbox one? They where only £430.00 .

Titanfall is a Red herring. Early adopters also got a free game, In my case Forza 5. This is a £30.00 drop not £90 as many are claiming.

Mine cost £450 with FIFA 14, which was the going rate in most shops in December so you can't determine what other people have paid or losing out on, plus some are claiming to have seen better deals

This is why I am waiting to buy an Xbox one, they are worried buy the Ps4 outselling them 2 to 1 and a lot of crossplat games selling more on the ps4 side because of better graphics and frame rate.I think if it continues they might be forced to do even more,so
I will continue to play my Xbox 360.They still have a lot of new games coming out for the Xbox 360 without all the problems with party chat and game joining.MS you have a great system with the Xbox 360 why go in reverse is beyond me!

After a few days thinking about this, I'm still pretty annoyed regarding the price drop (being a UK Day On adopter). They really shouldn't be doing this so early.

I feel as though I've been ripped off for a next gen console that isn't up to scratch, especially in the UK when you take into account things like the TV/NFL apps.

For anyone who's still sitting on the fence over what to get (PS4 or XBOX One), then I urge you to go for the PS4. This is coming from someone who has been a loyal XBOX customer for the past 7 years.

    Microsoft have dropped the ball.

im pretty sure there is a law for this so we can all get a refund of the difference, they claimed many times no price drop yet now there is, i think they lied and knew all along about a price drop ready for titanfall.

perhaps we should all take ours back as they do not work as intended and then buy them again when titanfall comes out,lol

  12. Wow i cant even tell you much this has annoyed me, i've been through so many of Microsofts customer services representatives and not one of them could answer why. How is it us as the core fans have to pay more for a console that was basically in its beta
stage just to test it for the fence sitters who will eventually pay less for a more polished system? They say they appreciate us yet offer nothing in the way of compensation, If you ask me its false advertisement for Microsoft's corporate vice-president to
say its 'worth the extra' thats going to make you believe you're investing your money in a machine that is worth its price tag. 3 months later ( not even that for some ) and its £30 cheaper with a game retailing at £50........... Its rubbish, false advertisement
    i say. I want compensation.

Can see the price drop further to be honest, I don't think it's enough of a price drop to help boost the sales and certainly not enough to catch up to the PS4's, this price drop just portrays exactly what most people are saying, this has been a very disappointing
    next-gen console release by Microsoft.
