CABLE BOX REQUIRED TO PLAY XBOX ONE?

@Evil HDMI adaptors are quite cheap in UK, Four inputs for gadgets One output to TV.

The TV input would only work with digital TV, So Analogue TV would be no good. Well I think this will be the case.

My TV only has two HDMI inputs so i use an adaptor

Sorry built in ones do not have output. They are wired into the tv internally. You have no output not even by coax. The Hdmi are input from other devices. To be honest I doubt it will be that good in the UK anyway.

I would guess and say that it's because you're breaking the solid connection and making the Xbox process certain aspects of it and then pass it back through to the TV. If I'm thinking along the right lines, there will be some loss occurring along the line
    resulting in a lower quality.

I purchased a Surge Protector that had an ariel signal cleaner in for the TV. The solid channels came through beautifully but the weaker signals were just lost completely. Again, another break in the line just causing loss of quality.

That shouldn't be an issue considering your can pass HDMI signals through any A/V receiver without losing video quality. It sounds more like the X1 is trying to do more to the signal than it should be. Your surge protector may cause issues with an analog
signal, but digital signals don't just degrade like that.

  6. Yes but as you say, the Xbox is probably doing something to the signal and sending it back out at a lower quality.

Any good quality HDMI cable should work, it does for me. Make sure the TV is set to the correct HDMI input since most have several inputs. Also, you might try connecting to s different HDMI input in case the one that was use (on the TV) was damaged.
