UK Game Prices? What is this?

I posted something like this thread in the One forum and i was asked for proof lol. Called a liar a troll you name it.

It's not inflation it's greed on behalf of the developers. New hardware = new rrp for games.

Yup, the real slap in the face was the X1 was recently officially priced at £349 here and $349 in the US. Vat etc aside, it still doesn't account for such a big margin in the cost.

The overriding issue when it comes to prices here in the UK and those in the US is UK consumers are willing to pay those prices, thus retailers and manufacturers have no reason to lower the prices. The US is a consumers market, the UK is anything but.

Price had nothing to with Games For Windows LIVE and Steam. Publishers have been removing GFWL functionality and replacing it with Steam's own multiplayer because of Microsoft's shutting down of GFWL. Also, unless a GFWL or GFW was published specificity
by Microsoft, MS never made any money from their sales. MS has never had any involvement in Steam pricing.

Stop shopping at GAME.

Supermarkets are selling ONE games for cheaper.

Also remember that your UK price includes all taxes up front.

American and Canadian prices are advertised before Federal and State or Provincial Sales Taxes are applied.

So we're not necessarily getting as bad a deal as you think.

Unless you're shopping from GAME or the XBox LIVE Marketplace.

I mean game deals and Good Game deals! Yeah I don't really pay attention to sales but I goto my Local Gamestore at least once a week
