UK Digital TV Tuner signal issues

Hi, I received my Digital TV Tuner yesterday and went through the simple set up process without a hitch. It found all the channels and set up the OneGuide fine.

However on certain channels there are noticeable artifacts on the screen and in the audio, causing a stuttering blocky image and jumps in the sound. This makes the feature fairly unusable as it is a pain to have to constantly switch the cable into the TV/Xbox
base don the channel you want to watch, ruining the "promised seamless" experience.

I guess this issue is down to bad signal, has anybody else experienced this? The strange thing is that my TV (Toshiba Smart Tv) played these same channels absolutely fine. It would seem the tuner provided by Microsoft is not up to par, despite some people
online claiming it provided better signal than their TV did.

Has anybody tried running their aerial through a signal booster into the Xbox? Did it help?

Xbox One Digital TV tuner

Microsoft is releasing a digital tv tuner(UK, France, Italy, Spain and Germany) in October for users in the previously mentioned countries to experiences TV through an over the air digital terrestrial tv tuner. The prices are £24.99 in the UK and €29.99

Xbox one Digital tuner - poor signal

Experiencing the same. TV signal is very good with its own dedicated roof mounted aerial. Direct to tv signal is rdl steady but am experiencing intermitent interfernce very couple of minutes using the digital TV tuner which is a real pain making the tuner
almost useless.

Connecting a game console over a TV tuner to PC is not recommended, because most tuners are analog input. If a digital source is connected, it decodes its signal to analog, then the tuner chip encodes the analog signal back to digital to be displayed/heard
on the PC. Unless your PC has a very fast CPU and the tuner has a fast encoder, that setup is unrecommended, you can get ping issues between what actually happens on the console and what is displayed/heard on the PC. Or use a tuner with a HDMI input to record
digitally directly, but even in this case a fast PC is required to record HD, and I even doubt that TV tuners with HDMI are exist on the market.

Ah Ok. Thats Different. I should have said the Digital Tuner is built into our tvs with allowing access to this one free to Air Service. On older tvs a set top box is required to get the signal to the tv but these are not provider dependent. Each box does
the same thing.

Thanks for reaching out here in Xbox Forums. I understand there is an issue with the Microsoft Xbox One Digital TV Tuner. Most TV signal problems are due to either a bad signal coming into the tuner or TV settings on your Xbox One that need adjusting. If
your Xbox console is not displaying your TV signal, try the following:

To test the signal, unplug your cable input from the Xbox One Digital TV Tuner and plug it directly into a TV or monitor. If your signal is still bad, consult the TV signal provider. If your signal is good, reconnect your input to the digital tuner and
continue to the next step.
Troubleshoot your TV settings. Try these options:
- Use the troubleshooting help built into the TV setup app of the TV & OneGuide settings:
  1. Go to the Home screen.
  2. Press the Menu button on the controller.
  3. Select Settings.
  4. Select TV & OneGuide.
  5. Follow the prompts for Troubleshooting.
- Check out the
  Troubleshoot section of OneGuide and Live TV support.
If these steps didn’t solve the problem, your tuner may need to be replaced. To order a new tuner, go to
Device Support.

Try this out and let us know the results.
