UHD set up?

In regarsd to the resolution, exactley my point. Your TV upscales the game to 1080p but the game is made at 900p. If you run it native on your tV you will not have all the edges filled. A lot of gameproducers do that to safe the power of the console for
other processes. Ubisoft just gave a nice interview about it because AC4 was running on 1080p but Unity will be 900p.

Can anybody in all honesty recognise any differences in 900p and 1080p? Think its all a bit OTT to me!

Wrong, the Xbox One ALWAYS outputs at whatever resolution you tell it to. So for example mine outputs at 1080p, its actually the console itself that upscales games to 1080p, not the TV.

 

Can I tell the difference between 900p and 1080p? yes and no.

Yes if I pause the game and study the screen really carefully, but nobody plays games that way, so 99% of the time no, and that probably goes for the majority of people out there.

Even those that say "I can tell the difference so easily, its night and day" are usually kidding themselves.

Heck if Digital Foundry couldn't tell that Killzone on the PS4 wasn't full 1080p (even though they said it was)
then that says a lot.

Shaggy, beg to differ dude, my UHD TV up scales 1080p and 1080i (broadcast quality) to near 4K off BluRay and out of my Sky Box.

Pezzer, please read what KoelnerHooligan wrote, he specifically said that his TV upscales the games too 1080p, and that the games are mostly all 900p.

What I said was that the Xbox One is the one that upscales the games to 1080p, not the TV (this part is true) I never said anything about the resolution being further upscaled to 4K by your TV

does the input coming into the xbox support 4k? i have a dish hopper that outputs 4k.

also does anyone have a problem with pass through. when i power down xbox for evening and then turn it on in the morning ut says no tv signal from my dish receiver. when i mess with all my hdmi cables i get the signal back. all my cables are new.
