UHD set up?

Hi all.

Recently bought a UHD tv just wondering if xb one is compatible? My tv keeps saying the device in port 3 isn't set up for UHD is this something I can change or do I just turn it off on the TV settings?

Variable Refresh Rate greyed out?

Currently it is set to 4K UHD and 60Hz. I just tried the hard reset and it's still greyed out.

 

Unable to play uhd blu rays on Xbox one x

I am a member of preview and the set has 2 uhd discs, other people with the same box set and one x have no problems.

I've had the discs checked and play fine in store.

I don't have an UHD TV myself, but I'm pretty sure it does support 1080p inputs, perhaps you have to put it on a different HDMI-IN as some might expect 4K? Or you might need to tweak some settings on the TV to tell it what source to expect.

What TV did you go for and so far, has it been worth it?

 

Yeah port 3 is the new HDMI for UHD I've upped the colour per megapixel in xbox settings which looks better but it's still saying not set for UHD. Never mind i'll disable it in tv settings.

I got a 49inch LG UHD it looks great on the xbox and HD channels too, I had an LED HD tv anyway but its noticeably better. Dead chuffed so far

 

Sweet, I'll need to wait a couple of years I think before taking that dip. I'm jealous

 

Got an UHD from Samsung last week and had no such problems. The picture look awesome.

I just try to find out if the hdmi cable that comes with the X1 ist hdmi 2.0 or just 1.4.

If the up-date for 4k ever comes it will make a difference. 1.4 only support 4k at 30hz and the new 2.0 50/60hz. the picture will be much smoother.

 

Yeah picture quality is much better. Its like my tv knows the xbox isn't set up for 4k and asks me to adjust it in the xbox settings. This only happens in HDMI port 3 which must be the new UHD port

 

Hiya, I bought an Samsung UHD tv at the weekend and just wondering are there any specific settings to look for on the XOne because the tv is only recognising it as a 1080p source. I am probably, wrongly, aware that the XOne is 4K ready?!!

 

Na xbox isn't 4K. You can go into xbox settings-display and up the colour per pixel count which is what Ive done which helps

 

What have you upped it too?

 

Think its set at 24 I did the highest think its 36

 

It was made clear that the XBOX could support 4k but not that it does at the moment. Most games are not even on 1080p yet but rather on 900p. Blue Rays are remastered for 4k but are not true 4k yet with a few exceptions. I am sure in the following month
there will be a 4k update because youtube, netflix and a some other streaming sides are streaming 4k material.

For a game to be made in true 4k it would need about 120 to 150 GB. 3 games and your harddrive would be packed.

I also posted the HDMI issue a little earlier. 1.4 supports only 20/30 Hz but 2.0 50/60 Hz.

The truth is it will be along way for console players to see true 4k games on a console but todays consoles will be supportung video material in 4k pretty soon.

May Samsung UHD does a great job upscaling the xbox one picture anyways and I am already very happy the way it looks now.

Isn't that to do with the game running natively, not the display resolution?

I have the Samsung 55HU7200 UHD set, and while it does produce some stunning pictures, I have noticed there can be a little bit of artifacting due to the upscaling process. Do you have this experience as well?
