UHD Rental not playing

Thanks for reaching out to us here on the forums with this situation. I recommend you try Uninstalling and Reinstalling the Movies

& TV App. First remove it from the console and then power the Xbox One down and unplug it from the power source for at least 2 minutes. Then boot it back up and redownload the App. Give it a try after those steps and let us know how it goes.

I've been having the same issue. I also have a 200Mbps connection with 0% packet loss. My issue is my am able to start the UHD movie and but after 5 seconds the picture freezes and the audio keeps going. I know the issue has to be software related because
I am unable see the "Movies and TV" menu any longer. I can't pause, fast forward, rewind, turn on or off closed captioning, etc. I have to hit the Xbox Button on the Controller and "Quit" the Movies and TV application to get it going again.

When I attempt to watch another movie I own that is HD only, the movie plays perfect.

Has anyone else had this issue? This issue occurs on my following UHD titles: IT, DUNKIRK, & WONDER WOMAN.

There is a massive problem with this xbox....again. I have 30mbps- even when i had 20mbps my netflix app downloaded directly on my tv showed snd played 4K material. I now have 30mbps. My netflix app on my way v still plays all the 4K uhd material but
this supposed advanced xbox only plays 1080p. I callee support and they said u need a min of 30mbps-so im sure my download speed dluctuates but why my 2 year old 4K tv can stream all the uhd stuff and my xbox cannot is beyond my reasoning. Also, why the
heck cant i download any recent movies that are out on uhd blu ray as rentals. Vudu even offers 4K purxhases....but prob not on this xbox app. I think i may trade this dusaster in for a PS5/neo if it has downloadable rentals of new 4K movies......and if
i only need 20mbps, like my tv does. Advanced Xbox.......sure.....

I called support and was told that the Netflix app does support the UHD titles but you need 30mbps. First off, use your Netflix tv app for the 4K content. Xbox's system is so messed up its not worth the trouble. I had 20mbps in 2015 and I was able to
stream Breaking Bad, House of Cards, and all other shows in 4K. I now have 30mbps and still can stream the 4K content directly on my tv through the app. However, there is some kink in the Xbox that slows you down or requires internet speed beyond what is
necessary. My NAT is open and I just ran a speed test and I'm clocking in at 25.8mbps, so I should get UHD on the Xbox, when I'm getting it through my LG 4K tv. Now something is messed up with Xbox and I won't be using it for Netflix, obviously. What another
let down by Xbox- including the inability to rent or but digital UHD rentals of new movies. There's a 3D Blu-Ray rental site that rents UHD Blu-Ray movies too on a per movie basis. Just google 3D blu-Ray rental and u csn rent UHD movies, since my Xbox One
has the inability to stream UHD from Netflix, Amazon, nor rent new UHD movies on a downloadable basis for around $7-8. If Sony does it right, I may jump ship due to no yearly membership cost snd possibly new UHD movies available to rent or purchase. I'll
wait to see if Xbox csn turn things around by then, why, oh why has Xbox launched its past two consoles in a stage that still isn't finalized?

I would say if you have the 1TB or 2TB version tgis shouldnt be that big of a deal. Idk who would buy a 500GB Xbox One S- that lewves ansolutely no space. If i have the 1-2 TB version, you will not have enough space to download everything but a standard
full version of a UHD Blu-ray is 66GB. Considering your temporarily downloading a rental ( and rentals have no extras-movie only), I would think a digital rental would run 40GB, or so, for a 2 hour rental that gets deletee after you watch. Imo you should
never buy eigital versions of games because after one to two years, you can sell the disc baded gsme on ebay or trade in to anazon for credit. Never buy anything for games digitally except the requir ments-maps, armor customizations, etc. so maintaining
40GB of free space to download uhd movie rentals shouldnt be an issue. Buy everything else on disc and resell when game gets old. Again, never, ever buy digital versions of games. Amazon Prime costs like $100 a year- u can get games on release day without
waiting in lines, then sell once a year or two old. You can even trade in your games to amazon for store credit and use the funds towards the next game. Same with movies- rent ( once they get this essential feature going). Save yourself money and only buy
map packs and stufff like that digitally. Anything phtsical-UHD movies/games should be rented onky or bought on disc.
