    UHD HDR Atmos problems


    My setup: XBox One X, Denon X6400, LG B7

    When connecting hdmi from xbox to receiver to TV, picture and sound drops out every few minutes for 2-3 secons. Anoying.

    When connecting hdmi from xbox to TV and from TV to receiver with eArc, I get lag in the sound. Anoying.

    This only happens if I have a source on the xbox (bluray or game) with all three elements turned on (UHD, HDR and Atmos), never with one of them disabled.

    I been through the setup of TV, receiver and xbox serveral times without luck. Any ideas?

    When watching Netflix directly from the TV app, everything works fine.

    There have been a lot of audio issues fixed in several of the latest Insider updates. Hopefully they roll out to general public soon.

    Have you tried setting it up so your receiver turns on last?

    i think dolby Atmos is experimental see if you can report a problem through the xbox and hopefully the will fix it soon :)

    No 4K without HDR (xbox one x)

    i have an older 4K tv with UHD, and when i set it to 10 bit with UHD on, i can clearly see the vibrancy and detail.

    however, on the 4K test it shows the TV does not support movies and games at HDR 10, but supports 4K gaming @ 60Hz

    theres other TVs which do show HDR 10 working with movies and games; however cheaper models will not give a full range and may just be a slight enhancement.

    i would wait till 4KTVs standardize 10 Bit HDR and Dolby atmos, as theres very few TVs on the market now which truly show the potential of HDR.

    Dolby Atmos and 4K

    Hi AttiKovacs,

    Yes you can have 4K UHD and Dolby Atmos as long as your TV, sound bar or receiver supports it.

    You may have to get a newer HDMI cable (4K 60Hz, HDMI 2.0, HDCP 2.2, HDR, 18Gbps) for it to work.
