    Uh oh... that should not have happened


    I have had the following error for around three weeks now. It's hugely frustrating and the Twitter team have been unable to help.

    I had an Xbox 360, and migrated to Xbox One shortly before Destiny was released. The friends feature was working fine for around a week or so, and now I receive the below error message on my Browser when trying to access Xbox Live. My Xbox just
    says "unable to show friends at the moment" (Vijay on Twitter), and the friends feature also does not work on Smartglass.

    Things I've tried include clearing cache, and using different computers, rebooting Xbox and trying different internet connections from different locations.

    My billing is covered until 07/2015, so no issue there.

    Please, can anyone shed some light into this (It's an issue with this Live account).

    Uh oh... that should not have happened.

    Hello,

    I actually get that message every time I try to get to the Forums and even when I change pages. It is frustrating and I have no idea why it does it. All I do is hit the refresh button and it generally comes up the first time or by the 3rd. :-O

    Xbox LIVE is a service that requires a strong internet connection. The reason you get kicked out of party is either bad host or a service issue. The reason you can't access your friends list online is because Microsoft is doing an overhaul on the websites
    HTML coding. Please be patient my friend as the rest of us have to too.

    Hi Mister Beep. I was forwarded to the UK phone center.

    I gave them a call - still no use, they suggested opening my NAT which I've done through my router.

    However, the telling evidence is that I get independent errors on Live.xbox.com, Smartglass and the console itself. It can't a problem on my side if all of those don't work - it has to be something on your side.

    Errors:

    XBL.com

    "Uh oh... that shouldn't have happened / It appears you've found a glitch in the system"

    Smartglass

    "Something went wrong when loading this section"

    Console

    "We are unable to show your friends at moment"

    After lots of googling - it's clear that this is a legacy problem, the error's I'm getting have been had by lots of users in the past, but have been part of a broader XBL issue which has been fixed for all users eventually. I unfortunately have it all the
    time!

    Can someone please look into my account personally and see what's going on?

    Is it possible to migrate my account to different MS account?

    Hey there Deviance707!

    Sorry to hear that didn't work out. Did you happen to make any changes to your account during the time this started? Such as changing or fixing billing info, adding another year of gold, etc? If you did, I highly recommend contacting them again with that
    information. My sincere apologies for suggesting contacting them again, but if something happened to your account recently, they would have to be the ones to look it it. Please post back and keep us updated!

    I am having a nearly identical issue following a power cut. Xbox can't connect to live, even after network test says everything is fine and I am connected, and all online sections of smartglass app (friends, achievements) say "Something went wrong" and can't
    display the section. Have done a full cycle of everything, including network without success. Infuriating as the network screen even shows bandwidth being utilized.
