    U.I Eject disc button again please - Broken eject on the console


    I'm unsure as to whether this is the right place to post this but..

    We've lost the ability to eject a disc via the user interface, and for some reason the button on the console has stopped working.

    I don't want to send my console off again.

    Can we not have it back please ?

    How to eject a "stuck" disc

    Hi

    Can you please first try and carry out a console hard reset by holding the power button (Xbox logo) on the front of the console for 5-10 seconds. Once the console has shut down please wait for 1 minute and then restart the console. Once the console starts
    please try to eject the disc again.

    If you are still unable to eject the disc afterwards please see the guide
    here     that will guide how to eject the disc manually.

    Please be aware if you are still not able to eject the disc after this you may need to send the console for repair by clicking
    this link.

    Hey there Crimson,

    Sorry to hear you're having issues with with your Eject Button.

    Quick question: Does your disc tray eject when you press the eject button? Does it eject when the power is off and the console just doesn't turn on or does nothing work until after you've turned on the console? Does the button work after you've turned on the
    console?

    Xbox Disc Ejection options.

    If you press the eject button it will try to initiate an eject sequence regardless if it thinks there is a disc. This says to me that the eject mechanism itself is broken inside the drive and you’ll have to send it in for service.
