Two xboxs one game

Just wondering if you can and how you can run one copy of a game on your dual xboxs. I mighr buy a second so my son and I can play. I dont want to buy two copies of every game and have two xbox live accounts. He has his own gamrtag under our one xbox
now.

The issue is my brother has downloaded full fames on both our main system and the system in his room he is trying to find a way to keep the games he downloaded on his Xbox on his Xbox.

 

Not necessarily legal but if u choose one box as ur home box with a gold acc. tied to it, anyone can sign in and use ur games on that box u designated as home. They may need gold but from what I know even silvers can use those, games without the home gold
account being signed in. On ur 2nd box just sign in using the gold acc. and download the game in question. While signed in on the non home box with ur gold acc, u can play anyone that signs in to your 2nd box with the home gold acc assigned to it on any games
that are installed on it. Hope this helps...

 

It's legal. Microsoft has even acknowledged it. I have my home console set to my kids xbox one and then every time I purchase a digital game they get a copy.

Stud is correct in the way to do it but also add your sons Hone to the one you play on..

and it is legal.... but please let us not go back there again

 

One thing I 4got, and it's very important...sharing ur games like this only works if u originally bought the game in digital form. I.e. From the xbox or MS store to download. Disc based games won't work for this...as ull need a disc for each box u have.
With digital downloads, they transfer from one box to another...

Yes. Both can play at the same time. As long as ur home has a digital copy...

 

Yep me and my lad have been doing this since xmas. That's half the reason I don't mind forking out for game's off the store, still a big saving if my son also wants the game.

 

Me and the missus do this as well. It's great when it's a game we both wanna play.

 

I will be making sure the little ones next console is a XO then. Tho he is still getting loads of use out of the old 360 atm.

So i got this to work brilliantly, but now I have run into a problem:

I got the digital download of AC unity, but I put it under my sons account on my home xbox and I can't seem to play on the other xbox, can i transfew ownership to my other account the MAIN account holder?

 

You always want to buy games with the primary family account (which I would presume to be yours). Then you would put those games onto your home Xbox, which in this case, should be your son's console. Then you would retrieve your account on the other console
and redownload your games to that console. As long as your account remains on the home Xbox (your son's console), he can play your games, even if you're not signed in (a by-product of that console being your home console). Anyone will be able to play your
games on any other console (including the other Xbox in your household, in this case), but those consoles will have to have your account, your game, and you will have to be signed in in order for it to work. The caveat is that since you're going to be signed
in to play your own game anyways, that won't matter.

 

You need to install/download all games on your home xbox one account. If u purchased while signed in on your sons acc. I think that game may be Liscenced to him. If he doesn't have a home gold box, (i.e., his own paid account not under yours) then u won't
be able to use on both consoles. Just remember to buy all digital games on YOUR home xbox under YOUR home gold account...then you can sign in using your home gold acc. on any xbox and play...and any one can sign in on your home xbox and use your games.
