Two Xbox's controlled by one PDP remote. how do I turn it off on one of them

Hello Jeb, i did a little research on the control, and settings on Xbox, do not know if ever tried to go in the setting below.

1. Go to your Xbox console’s “Settings”

2. Scroll to “General”

3. Find “TV and Display Options”

4. Choose “Device Control”

a. In this section, follow the on-screen instructions to set up your TV, Cable/Satellite Box, Audio, or TV tuner.***

If after disabling these settings it continues to connect the two consoles, unfortunately there is no way to separate only one to connect.

Same here in UK with Sky box or Virgin box. I know that controlling cable/sat TV through One Guide is not coming until early next year but we should at least be able to add it as a device now so we can turn it on and off when we say Xbox Turn On/Off.

I have a Logitech remote that turns everything on and off for me and I was expecting Xbox One to take over the turning on/off process. But if I now have to tell Xbox to turn on and use remote to turn Sky on then that is now two things I have to do to watch
TV instead of "One". So much for all in one entertainment box!

As I said, I'm using the PDP media remote for Xbox One. I am trying to program that remote to control the volume and on/off on my TV. However, since all of the settings are configured through the Xbox itself, the fact that its a third party remote (that's
officially licensed by Microsoft) should be irrelevant.

So pressing and holding the guide button for 6 seconds till the controller turns off isn't an official method of turning it off without selecting Turn off the controller from the options i hope it's not a hack or glitch here's a video on YouTube on what

If your TV is on when you turn on the XBOX One (Same thing with your receiver if XBOX is controlling it) then it will turn them both off IF you have the option checked that allows the XBOX one to control either. Threw me for a loop also when I turned the
XBOX ONE on when I had both the tv and receiver on. I run my cable into the TV not through the XBOX as I far prefer the Comcast remote menus rather than the XBOX one.
