Two Xboxes in one house - this is driving us crazy!!!

Getting really, REALLY frustrated with enabling my kids to play games on a Xbox X and S simultaneously. Please help!

(To keep things simple, I'll not mention previous attempts at cracking this - I'll just explain where we're at right now)

Let's call our main login and Live account BLUE. This week we bought and downloaded FIFA 23 on that account.

Son 1 is playing on Xbox 1 (set to be Home console).

He's logged into his own account (this is a family account, if that makes a difference?) and NOT into main account BLUE.

FIFA works fine (yay!) until....

Son 2 plays on Xbox 2.

When he logs in as BLUE (and plays a completely different game), son 1 is told he can no longer FIFA!! (Again, even though he wasn't logged into BLUE).

What are we doing wrong?!

Is the problem the fact that FIFA was bought with the BLUE account?

Should my son have bought/downloaded FIFA on his own account? But if he'd done that, would he be able to use BLUE'S Live account/online play? I assumed not.

Is the fact that the accounts are linked (main account and family account) making any difference?

Any help would be VERY much appreciated... before WWW IIII starts around here.

Thanks. It actually seems like it's working now (HUGE relief!)

I don't think my son on Xbox 1 logged out of BLUE before installing and playing FIFA on his own account.

FIFA was crashing (seperate issue, I'm sure) and I asked him to reinstall on his account without BLUE login.

It works. I think. Thanks for your time...

Thank you so much for the detailed information.

Good thing that you have the Xbox 1 set as Home Xbox. Now, on the Xbox 1, make sure that BLUE's account is signed out.

Please validate that BLUE's account is set as Home Xbox on the Xbox 1 and then BLUE will use the Xbox 2.

The family setting does not matter here because we're using it to manage our child's account settings.

The controller son 1 what profile is bimded to the controller he is using

If ita blue that would be why

You only one controller can bind ro one profile

Goto.settings

Accessories

Remote.

Controller select.the one he's is using then select bind and use his profile
