    Two XBox Ones, One House

Hello All, I've seen a few posts that answer part of this, but not everything I'm looking for. I have an XBox One mysef that I have Live Gold on. We recently bought a second one for my stepson, and we have got completely lost on the best way to handle
it. The goal is to be able to share digital games, preferably from my account since I have many already. We would also like to be able to play at the same time and would like to play online against each other. After reading several posts, I realize he needs
Live Gold as well. I did sign him up for his own Gold. Now, when I sign in on his machine, it does let him download and play the games. However, it doesn't let us be signed in at the same time or play the same game. Wth? Same household, I would think we should
be able to do this. Help??

    :)

    Hello

If your account is set as home on her console then her account should receive the benefits of gold.

How ever while using your console only the account that has purchase the gold subscription will have access to gold features. (Online Play, Voice Communication, and Gold Deals)

Essentially the way Gold sharing works is any addition accounts on the home Xbox of the gold account will also receive benifits.

This is two separate consoles in the same house though. From what I've read and what we experienced when we tried it, we were unable to use my Xbox live when we were logged in on his console unless I logged out of mine and in on his. He could still see my
games but be was unable to use Xbox live. If I signed in on his machine, then mine logged out. No matter what we did it didn't work.

We accomplished what I was looking to do tonight, or at least so far so good. He has to have his own Xbox live as far as I can tell, but then MY Xbox needs to be listed as the home Xbox on his account and then HIS Xbox needs to be the home Xbox on my account.
We seem to be working fine so far. Waiting for an error message or something.

  6. unless you have a separate modem and your own router you may have a hard time playing together , most ISP gateways that they give you wont handle 2 xboxs online at the same time....

Everyone I know who uses the home/gold & game sharing feature use the same router so that shouldn't be an issue.

    Two Xboxes - One House

Ill try that again when I get home. I have tried every iteration of switching accounts, setting who's console is 'home'... you name it.
It always makes me choose one console over the other. Whats the point of even having two consoles if you can only play one at a time?

I miss the good old days of just enjoying playing games without accounts, internet access, subscriptions, lagging connections, constantly patching and updating, etc...
