is this possible? So far I have an xfinity modem/router tower. Me and my brother use the UNup feature, we both have moderate nats. The only problem is I'm constantly getting disconnected from destiny using this method.

i was thinking of buying two separate routers and using the current one I have to be set up in bridge mode.

would this work? Would we both have open nats using two seperate routers?

    :)

Connecting two xbox ones on the same internet connection

    Hey all

I've been able to connect two xbox 360s on the same internet connection with open nat no problem, I now have two xbox ones on the same connection with open nat but performance online is terrible, is it me or does the xbox one more bandwidth? Also if any
one has two xb1 on the same connection working well, what's your internet speed?

    Cheers

Comcast Router Set Up for the XBOX ONE

Hey man, I have the same gateway and have been running into the NAT issue as well. In my case I have two xbox ones in my home and have read how the xbone's seem to only accept the 3074 port, making UPnP cause NAT issues with multiple xbones. Is there any
way to have two xbones on the network with the gateway, and have both of their NATs open?

Hey ! thanks for posting ! and I'm more then willing to give yah some helpful tips on whats going in your network setup.

first things first lets debunk the myth that buying two separate routers is going to fix your problem, the actual problem is that the provided gateway most likely only supports one gaming console with an open nat.

with that being said if you could find the Make and model of it and post it here I can give you a detailed walk through on what you might want to try and how it works so you can have a better understanding.

Two Xbox ones on same network with open nat :D

(btw im also a Comcast customer and my xfinity gateway is a arris tg862g, I also have an xbox one and a xbox 360, I basically use my x1 for online gaming and use my 360 mainly for just older games and multimedia now)

  5. Sure it's a xfinity technicolor tc8305c gateway.

I've got the ports forwarded on my Xbox, however it seems I can't port forward the same ports for his Xbox one.

Currently my Xbox one has all the ports forwarded and I have an open NAT. He has none with a strict NAT.

Two Xbox ones on same network with open nat :( dude I got some bad news and some good news

first thing the bad news , I too had a Technicolor gateway( random disconnects and lag the works you name it I had the issue ) and after calling support and working with someone on the networking team they already knew my issue was due to this gateway
    having known problems.

here is a link with the known issues

    http://forums.xbox.com/xbox_support...ms-gateways/technicolor/f/4046/t/1444725.aspx

he assured that either switching to getting my own networking hardware (i.e my own separate modem and router would give me a much more seamless experience ) but honestly I stuck with that Comcast gave me cause I didn't have the funds to get new hardware and
just asked them to replace my gateway

the some what good news is that we can get you back online and gaming on destiny but that one console will be the only one capable to do online gaming with the configuration.

1st thing your gonna want to do is find the ip address of your xbox one

    here's how

a.) Settings> Network Settings> Advance Settings ** then the ip address is listed on the right in the first statement

then on your tablet/ computer ( and in extreme issues even your mobile phone .... make sure your phone or etc is connected to the same network to access the following )

first you reserve the ip address for your xbox one

    DHCP Reservation

    1. Open a web browser.
    2. Log into the router by entering the default gateway into the address bar of the internet browser. (Example 10.0.0.1)
    3. The gateway will then prompt for a user name and password. The default username is “admin” and the password is “password”.
    4. From the menu on the left select Connected Devices.
    5. From the submenu on the left select Computers.
    6. Click the Edit button to the right of the IP Address of the Xbox.
    7. In the Configuration section select Static IP.
    8. Click Save.
    then set up the DMZ

    DMZ

    1. Open a web browser.
    2. Log into the router by entering the default gateway into the address bar of the Internet browser. (Example 10.0.0.1)
    3. The gateway will then prompt for a user name and password. The default username is “admin” and the password is “password”.
    4. From the menu on the left select Advanced.
    5. Select Enable
    6. Enter the IP address of the Xbox in the DMZ Host field.
    7. Click Save.
after these settings have been applied then restart the gateway and make sure you restart the xbox one from settings>power and start up> turns off or restart then restart now

let me know if this helps

  8. Two Xbox ones on same network with open nat

I run 2 xbox ones with no problems , get yourself a modem ONLY (no gateway) and a cheap (50 bucks) netgear wrn2000 router , and hardwire them ...works right out of the box , no ports to fool with or anything else , plus you will save money in the long run
as you wont be renting the gateway from your isp...

  9. Well the issue isn't that I'm getting disconnected or anything. That has been fixed on my Xbox one by just port forwarding the required ports for Xbox and destiny.

I just want to figure out if there is any way i can get two Xbox ones on the same network to have an open NAT.

If my gateway doesn't allow that, I'm open to purchasing a new modem/ router and getting rid of the gateway. I just need to know what to look for.

I would also give both consoles a static/reserved IP address. That seems to help in a lot of configurations. Good Luck!
