Two xbox ones in home and sharing games

I have the parent account in the household and my xbox is the home xbox. When I buy a game, everyone can play it, but when my son does, you have to sign in as him and then sign in as yourself.

My son recently redeemed his point sand bought a game. He is under my family account. The only way I can play the game he downloaded, is is I sign in as him first and then sign in as me. This is fine except that it will sign him out on the secondary xbox.

Is there an easier way?

Thank you for your post. I understand you are experiencing an issue with your son not being able to play games from your account on his Xbox without your profile being signed in. You may want to consider designating your son's console as your profile's home
Xbox. This will share the games on your account to his Xbox allowing him to launch the games without signing into your profile. For more information, please check out this article:

I have two XBOX one's at home and with the home sharing I have to at least initiate the download for the free games with gold before they will download to the second Xbox.

We thank you for bringing this inquiry to our forums community, and understand that this concerns game sharing between two Xbox One consoles.

Sharing games to an Xbox One should only consist of making an account with games/Xbox Live on it as the home console. Our
how to designate an Xbox One console as your home Xbox states the following:

NoteYou can have only one home Xbox at a time. You can share purchased games and Gold with others only on your home Xbox.

This means that between two consoles, one account can only share with multiple accounts on one Xbox One console. If the same account is set as the home Xbox on a separate console, that action would use one of the switches for changing the home console.

If you are attempting to use two separate accounts, and have already designated each as the home console on separate consoles but have not been able to utilize game sharing, we would like to suggest
attempting a power cycle on the console in case the console has not registered the change in home consoles.
