Two Wireless Racing Wheels are not connecting to Xbox 360 at the same time. How can I solve ...

Hi there,

Since 2006 I use a Wireless Racing Wheel together with my XBox 360. If I want to do a splitscreen race, I added a Wireless Speed Wheel - which worked fine. Now I bought second Wireless Racing Wheel - a used one from ebay. It works fine, too.

BUT I can not use both of the Wireless Racing Wheels for a splitscreen-game. Regardless wich one I connect first, the second one will not connect. The green lights on the wheel are spinning, and it does not "find" the console.

I tried everything: I even connected Racing Wheel and Speed Wheel together (which works), pulled out the batteries from the Speed Wheel and tried to "substitute" it by connecting the Wireless Racing Wheel. Does not work.

The German Xbox Hotline told me, there is a special protocol used in these Wireless Racing Wheels, which makes them different from any other Controller. Therefore it is not possible to connect two of them at the same time

backwards compatibility

can i simultaneously play a game on my 360 and xb1? for instance i have the 360 racing wheel and play forza 4. can i also have someone playing forza 4 on the xbox one at the same time? if so this would be awesome. i would have two racing rigs that can play
with/against each other. if not.... is there any way that this might become a possibility in the future?

 

I'm pretty sure that support is correct on this. Two wheels cannot be used at the same time as the wireless signals would interfere with each other.

How's that the signals form two wheels interfere with each other and not with signals from other controllers, whose signals by the way don't interfere with each other? What's the difference? In the manual it is literally written that: "Up to four racing
wheels can be actively

connected to a console at one time. Each

connected racing wheel gets a quadrant on

the Ring of Light. Before you can connect

a racing wheel, at least one quadrant must

be free (unlit)." Can't it be fixed with some kind of update?
