Two wired controllers always assigned in same quadrant

If it's on a seperate Quadrant, than yes, it will stay on.. But, if it is assigned to a specific controller quadrant, than it will turn off or lose sync with the controller..

Plus, if you insert a wired headset to a controller, that has a assigned wireless headset, the wireless headset disconnects...

No, the headset would hold the quadrant it was initially associated with.

Switching the headset between quadrants is as easy as pressing a button and is, as I already said, independent of the controller. However, you *can* assign it the same quadrant as a controller.

Is the USB cord connected to the controller and can't be removed? Or are you using a removable Play&Charge cable?

Usually, when the controller shows two alternately flashing LED's, it is a sign that the batteries are almost empty.

If it's a wired controller, it could be, that the wires in the cable are broken, and you have a loose contact in one of the wires (maybe because the cable was bent too much or too often).

In that case, the PC won't recognize the USB device properly, and in the case the controller was connected, the wire inside the cable lost contact, and then connects the broken wire again, the controller might be detected as a new controller device, and
is then assigned the "Player 2", "Player 3" or "Player 4" LED quadrant.

I have the same problem. I have two wired controllers and two wireless controllers. It does not matter what order I put connect them. The two wired controllers always take the same player number. Do I just need to buy a third wireless controller to get four
players?
